About

Nancy Wilson in Concert

Nancy Wilson is a pioneer, bearing one of the most recognizable voices in rock. In 1974, the Seattle-born singer and guitarist started Heart with her sister Ann, blazing a trail for women in music by simply showing off her virtuosic guitar playing and innovative spirit. Her riffs on '70s anthems like "Crazy On You" and "Magic Man" are some of the most well-known licks in the American rock pantheon. As labels challenged the prospect of a woman-led rock band, Heart turned its original struggles into fuel for some of the decade's most legendary songs, with Wilson's heavy storming riff on "Barracuda" continuing to inspire up-and-coming musicians today thanks to its inclusion in the Guitar Hero series. Wilson didn't take frontwoman duties from her sister Ann often, but her tender vocal on the band's 1986 single "These Dreams" send the track to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson and her sister returned to their rootsier side in the '90s with the project The Lovemongers, which appeared on the movie soundtrack to the grunge-era chronicle ‘Singles," performing an intense cover of Led Zeppelin's "The Battle of Evermore," then releasing two albums and an EP. Meanwhile on her own, Wilson composed and performed music for a number of director Cameron Crowe's films, including the romantic comedy ‘Say Anything...' and the tour-life snapshot ‘Almost Famous.' Her 2009 album ‘Baby Guitars' places her expert six-string work into a new context: lullabies that are appropriate for all ages.

Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, and three years later the group went on hiatus. Wilson hooked up with R&B singer Liv Warfield, formerly of Prince's New Power Generation, to form the supergroup Roadcase Royale later in 2016. The new band released its debut full-length, ‘First Things First,' in 2017. Wilson has been touring solo and with Roadcase Royale.

Nancy Wilson June 18, 2023 (Sir Paul's Birthday)

by Lyn52 on 6/27/23The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

Nancy Wilson seems to be a lovely person and fine entertainer. I'm a fan. Her voice however is aging and the black woman sang it better.

    Okay…

by Valerie on 6/26/23The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

I love the band, “Heart.” I didn’t get to hear my favorite song…I would have liked more emphasis on Heart songs as opposed to other bands. The band performed the songs well, but I came to see Heart and not the other bands they played tunes from.

The Love On The Rocks tour???

by Geoph on 6/22/23The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

Great Show, pretty much a Heart concert. Ann's replacement singer can hit all the high notes even if her voice doesn't quite have the classic "piercing sharpness" of Ann's. Fabulous rockin' the house finale!!! Not sure how well Ann's solo effort will turn out. We'll see. What you did not know and must now be told - "Nancy" is a medieval nickname for "Ann", so technically both sisters are "Ann". Ann and Nan. I always thought Nancy was cuter.

    It was ok but disappointing.

by Keebler on 6/22/23The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

First of all, Wind Creek needs to redo their seating layout! I was on the right wing only a few rows from stage toward the middle and chairs all around me was to close and tight and couldn’t see any thing on the stage! Horrible! I had to go stand in the isle as did many other disappointed concert goers to see the stage😢 Now as far as the concert, Nancy opened with Band on the run song?? Big McCatartney fan but ??! I get the tribute song Let me roll it for his BD but the opening? Then she played multiple other bands song? With all the wonderful, fantastic songs that her and sister Ann has she ony played 4 or 5 of Hearts music! Very very disappointed! I was so pumped up for this concert and then to crash like that was very disappointing! I said to my wife as we were walking out, that we could have went to the local pub and paid $30.00 to hear a cover band not $350.00! Very disappointed!!

    Super

by Grabby on 6/21/23The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

Nancy was great, but her female singer is amazing! I loved the Pink Floyd and Paul McCartney songs, too. It was a great show. The warm up sucked, though

    Nancy has still got it

by Wile E Bear on 6/21/23The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

First the venue, Wind Creek has such easy access and free parking. The hall is small and perfect for a rock show. Maybe a little too much blowing with the AC. The opening act, a duo from the local band Turn the Tide, was in top form. Nancy Wilson’s Heart clearly love to rock. Nancy is so talented and charming. Heart has been an favorite for about 40 years. Although she could easily sing lead on all the Heart tunes she had a young vocalist take lead on several to give them a different spin. Straight On has a new killer intro. Also Nancy is nursing a foot/leg injury so was unable to do her usual kicks. Kudos for that little half kick acknowledgement when the band comes in on Crazy On You.

    Nancy Wilson is a pro

by GSL on 6/21/23The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

Nancy Wilson is half of Heart ... Heart is awesome . Heart music is classic . Nancy performing this music was wonderful ! She also chose to perform cover classics ... While her band members are really talented - I was a bit disappointed by not hearing Ann Wilson ... I knew she was not going to perform . The actual singer was very talented . I'm sure Heart fans will know what I'm talking about . The location and price was excellent . The best thing about the event was to interact with Nancy as a performer and hear her stories . A nice evening . GSL

    Awesome music

by LisaN on 6/21/23The Wind Creek Event Center - Bethlehem

The performance was great, the acoustics were on point, my only complaint is the seating is not very comfortable. I purchased my ticket during concert week and did not pay as much as others but to pay a lot of money for flimsy, uncomfortable folding chairs would have made me angry.
