    I had a Excellent night

    by Symphonic_Metalhead on 5/5/23The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

I have seen Moonspell once before, so I knew they put on a great show. But I went because I had to see my friends in the support band ELEINE especially since it was their first US tour. They stole the show for sure! I have been to The Masquerade many times and it is a great venue with pleasant and helpful staff every time I have been there. Security has always been the right balance between strict and fair. There is a parking garage next to the venue. The Masquerade is one of my favorite live music venues in the city of Atlanta! Overall a great experience!

    Under The Moonspell

by SiggisMom on 11/14/09Masquerade - Atlanta

Moonspell put on an unforgettable show in Atlanta. They were absolutely wonderful, and very warm and down to earth with their fans. They seemed happy to be there. Everyone looked great, especially Fernando who was wearing one of the coolest metal costumes I've ever seen a performer put on. Moonspell appeared to be really pumped up to be on stage in Hell! This was the first time I've ever seen them live, although they are one of my favorite bands, and I was not disappointed. Moonspell have been playing live for a lot of years but it is apparent that they haven't lost any of their momentum. The show they put on for us was riveting. Every song they played was dead on and held the same energy as the first one, even down to the encore the audience demanded. They played plenty of songs off the new album (Night Eternal) but also sprinkled lots of old favorites throughout, from albums such as Irreligious, Wolfheart and The Antidote. During the performance of each song, their projectionist played videos, film clips and atmospheric images on the backdrop of the stage. The lighting was also great, although I'm not sure whether to give Moonspell or The Masquerade credit for that! Moonspell interacted with the audience after nearly every song, and at the end thanked us all for coming out to see them on a work night. It is obvious that Moonspell are still in possession of all of their magic. I would love to see them again, and any time they come back to Atlanta, or play Birmingham, I will definitely be there.

    Moonspell out shown sun!

by WanderingBard on 11/3/09Riot Room - Kansas City

Taking the stage to enthusiastic cheers, Moonspell put on a show that defies words. Opening with the first track from their latest album, Night Eternal, the sonic doom and gloom pounded through the venue without relenting. The band effortlessly navigated through their vast discography, pleasing die hard and brand new fans alike. Musicianship and artistry blended together, mixing with raw energy to ignite the crowd into a frenzy of cheers, pumping fists, and banging heads.

    Eternal Night Over Hollywood

by ZSMoonspell on 11/2/09Roxy Theatre - Hollywood

1st of all I did not enjoy the bands that preceded Moonspell. How ever I am in a way happy that they weren't my style; due to the fact I would have used energy that could have been used to rock out w/ Moonspell. (Which I did) They were absolutely amazing, I saw them last year at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, and they keep getting more and more powerful! The set list was incredible: They started off w/ a song that is near and dear to my heart: "At Tragic Heights" Then they played the title track to their latest album, "Night Eternal", always a winner. They're stage presence was incredible for the entirety of the show, but they especially showed their metallic nature of great performance in "Finisterra" and "The Southern Deathstyle". After that the show kept getting better as they played a song off of their debut album Wolfheart; "Wolfshade (A Werewolf Masquerade)". And then some crowd favorites, two songs that every one can sing along to, "Opium" and "Scorpion Flower", and might I add, they pulled it off flawlessly! Next up, "Moon In Mercury'', I love the way Mike starts this song with fast paced drumming and Fernando lets out a bone crushing yell! Epic! You're a beast Evil One, this song takes me back to a simpler time, "Vampiria", Supposedly their last song was to be ''Mephisto'', but the whole crowd went wild, calling their name, MOONSPELL, MOONSPELL, MOONSPELL. The came and played two encores, "Alma Mater" and "Full Moon Madness" where Fernando Gets a couple drum sticks and bashes on the symbols along w/ Mike! After the show, the whole band was humble enough to sign any memorabilia that the fans might have, they signed my ticket! I had a chance to talk to Fernando before the show and he was so amazing, he talked to my friend and me as if we were long time friends. All in all, one of the best shows I have ever gone to. I thank Mike, Aires, Pedro, Ricardo, and the Immortal Fernando. Come back soon!

The show was great. Great choice of bands. Maybe the light show needs a little improvement, as well as the sound for the size and shape of the place. It would have been a lot better if there was a bigger crowd, instead of only 40 people. I like the music and the show put by the local band Night Creation. Maybe they should open more often for bands like Moonspell. All together, my wife and I enjoyed it!

Moonspell delivers a polished performance everytime I see them. The band is always impressive and so wonderful to watch. They always get the audience to feel they were part of something special. New songs and old favs, they just make it perfect. They are not to be missed!
