same ole show
Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids
it is a good show for kids and adults a like. My son and I go every year together and enjoy it. personally I liked the triple threat series the best as it provided the most action. the current set up is okay but there is a fair amount of down time.

Meh… and a few zzzz’s

The pit party was disappointing. 2 of the main drivers including grave digger closed their lines 40 minutes in advance to the end of the session. I’m I paid to see them - not very fan friendly right? Security said the drivers asked to close the line early. The event is loud which is fine. Just bring ear protection and all’s good. It’s way too long and I live these trucks. Half the field either breaks down causing delays or cannot execute their stunts, at all! Terrible to watch. It’s amazing that 12000 points monster trucks can be boring but it was. My son of 13 and friend characterized certain sessions as snooze fests. Come on. The best part of the show outside the very beginning when they all come out is the motocross stunts intermission. The announcer continuously pointed out that the stadium shows are better than the arena and they will do their best - I paid money for an arena show so what are you talking about. And NO it absolutely didn’t make me want to see a stadium show if that was the angle. Stop hosting arena shows then and taking peoples money if it’s not to standard. I hear the hot wheels monster truck show is better more lights and spectacles. Overall a decent day with my son and his bud but I won’t be back. Disappointing and I wanted to love it so badly. May be better shows to spend your hard earned money on. They really need to take it up a notch and get creative. And maybe have the two drivers who shut down signature lines 40 min early rethink their decision. The fans make the show!!

Underwhelming
Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids
My boys ages 3, 6 and 8 all were tired of it by the end. The motor cross was actually the best part. The trucks needed more space. Too small of an arena for them.

Great show, great venue, pathetically terrible food choices at Uptown and surrounding BJCC area.

I went with 15 friends and coworkers and had an amazing time. First time for the majority of us and we can't stop talking about how much fun we all had! Can't wait for the next time Monster Jam comes into town!

Too cold to be outside
Protective Stadium - Birmingham
The event was great but couldn’t enjoy it for the kids being too cold. No hot beverages were an option to buy.

Fun!
Protective Stadium - Birmingham
We LOVED Monster Jam being at Protective Stadium! The experience as a whole was a blast. The only downside was the parking. We were able to park at a gas station close to the stadium but were informed DAYS before the event (that we booked in November) we would have to park 4-5 streets away from the stadium. We could pre purchase tickets for parking in those designated areas beforehand, but I didn’t know how I felt about being shuttled or walking that distance in downtown Birmingham.

Great show, terrible location
Protective Stadium - Birmingham
The show was amazing! And we loved that it was outside this year. A lot more room for stunts. But the Protective Stadium in Birmingham is a joke. There is absolutely no parking! The only parking spaces were on the side of the road or you could jump a curb and park in the grass. They need designated parking areas! And there was no mention before we got there that we could not bring in a diaper bag. I had a small backpack with my 1 year Olds diapers and Wipes and they told us we couldn't bring it in. But they conveniently had a big truck outside for $15 a bag to put it there until the show ended. And everything for sale there was crazy expensive! I paid $7 for a 20oz drink. It was just a money pit. And the seats were bleachers and nobody around us sat where they were supposed to. We had to ask ppl to move so we could even sit down. But other than that, the Monster Jam was awesome! My kids loved it.

Action was great but the sound system was terrible. Could not understand the announcements throughout the show.
