Miami HEAT History

Founded in 1988 as an expansion franchise, the Miami HEAT are one of the NBA's premier organizations, laying claim to 16 Southeast Division titles, seven Eastern Conference titles, and three NBA Championships. After hiring renowned NBA coach Pat Riley in 1995, the team won its first Championship in 2006, led by Hall of Famers Shaquille O'Neal, Dwyane Wade, Alonzo Mourning, and Gary Payton. Miami then captured back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013 with their “Big Three” consisting of Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh.

In the summer of 2019, much of the team's current core began to take shape, as the HEAT drafted guard Tyler Herro, then acquired All-Star guard Jimmy Butler to round out a roster that already featured promising big Bam Adebayo. In their current form, the team has reached the Finals twice (in 2020 and 2023).

Nice game, but with a grain of salt

by Goles on 4/14/24Kaseya Center - Miami

Great that after back-to back game both Miami and Dallas had their best starting lineup. However, Miami didn’t even try to fight back and didn’t thank the viewers for coming.

    Great Game, Awful Parking

by Tim on 4/10/24Kaseya Center - Miami

I really enjoyed visiting Kaseya Center for a Heat basketball game in March. We were staying in Stuart for a trip and wanted to drive down to see a Heat game. However (nothing to do with Ticketmaster I realize), the parking/traffic situation was beyond ridiculous. We sat in our parking deck literally for an hour and 15 minutes, then it took another hour to drive about 2 miles to get to I-395 to head back north. I would love to come to another game some year, but I will not fight that parking/traffic battle again.

    Nice, but too expensive

by Markus on 4/8/24Kaseya Center - Miami

A Miami Heat game is a really nice event. However, it is far too commercialised. The cheapest seats start at 60 bucks, and it was obvious in the stadium, that most people were not willing to pay more, as many of the more expensive seats stayed just empty. Moreover, we brought a really small backpack and had to leave it in a locker outside for another 14 bucks. Come on guys, this is all just a bit too much.

    Awesome Miami Heat

by Steve on 4/5/24Kaseya Center - Miami

It’s the first time I saw a basketball game live, and it didn’t disappoint, it was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere before, during, and after the game, the fast paced nature of the game, brilliant 3 pointers, slam dunks and some tense play right at the death. Miami Heat have gained a new fan in me !

    Heat Game in March

by Tim T on 3/31/24Kaseya Center - Miami

Heat game was a lot of fun for my wife, son and myself. The arena is beautiful, and the staff was very helpful. Concessions were not terribly expensive, and the in game entertainment was solid. (this may be hard to believe but I really enjoy Cleveland Cavs games a little more, even though they have less success on the court). I do have to say, however, that the Miami Heat parking situation and traffic situation is an ABSOLUTE DISASTER! I will not attend any more games while in FLA due to the the over 2 and a half hours it took me to get from the parking garage to the interstate (less than 4 miles!) I have a 2 hour ride back to Stuart as it is, and the additional parking time makes the ride home about 4 and a half hours, plus the train is still way too expensive.
