Maximo Park put on a wonderful show

by Prismatico on 12/2/17The Foundry - Philadelphia

It's rare to be able to see this band from the UK, so it was quite the treat! They played some extra requests for the admittedly modest showing of overseas fans, and it seemed like everyone had a great time watching Paul and the others perform. I also enjoyed the space and atmosphere of The Foundry, it all helped to create one of the best shows I've seen!

    Lots of Fun

by MxmTrn1256vbfghyuj on 11/23/17Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

Always a great time and this date was no exception. Great set list and the new songs stand up to the rest.

Most under-rated band of all time

by geordie67 on 5/18/14Rickshaw Stop - San Francisco

After 5 outstanding albums, it remains a mystery how Maximo Park are not a household name in America. These guys were simply amazing, effortlessly blending a set of old favorites with tunes from the new album. The energy, the sound, the humor. Paul Smith knows how the talk to an audience, with an unparalleled stage presence. This was one of the best gigs I've been to in a long time. Hope they come back to these shores again. It took their compatriots, the Arctic Monkeys, six albums to break through. I hope MP do the same.

    So much fun!!

by mandoka on 10/2/12El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

Paul Smith's insane jumps all over the stage and quirky dance moves made my night. Not a dull moment! Yes, Paul spits a lot while he sings in your face, but it's so worth it =) And the venue is awesome too. Perfect size for an intimate feel, with plenty of room to dance around.

    Excellent Venue, Excellent Band!

by YogaRocky on 9/25/12El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

I've been dying to see Maximo Park and finally saw that they were touring in the US. I live in Dallas, which was not a city on their tour, so I decided to fly to Los Angeles to see them on their last US stop. I had never been to El Rey Theater either, so it was a couple of firsts for me. The venue is spectacular and the band was unbelievably entertaining! Had such a great time! I will go back FOR SURE when Maximo Park tours again!

    Maximo Park was beyond amazing!!!

by Erunanethiel25 on 9/20/12Webster Hall - New York City

I should preface this by saying I have been a Maximo Park fan since I was 15 and now I am 23. This was the first time I ever saw them in concert and I was completely blown away! Paul Smith is probably the most energetic and involved lead singer I have ever seen. He was constantly dancing, jumping around, and trying to get the crowd involved plus his voice live is even better than on cd. He is just incredible! They never slowed down either, they kept the energy up and spirits high throughout the entire show! Seeing them live made me love the band even more which I didn't even know was possible!

    Maximo Park Was Amazing

by DCRockfan on 9/15/12Webster Hall - New York

Maximo Park put on an incredible show at Webster Hall in NY. The wove 8 songs from their new CD along with 14 songs from prior CDs into a killer, rocking show. Paul Smith was energy personified as lead singer and Lukas played and gyrated on organ. The rocking vibe kept up for the whole show. Going Missing, Books From Boxes, Apply Some Pressure, Limassol, Graffitti, and more electric songs. These guys are THE BEST in concert.
