Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney In Concert
When Tony Kishman appears as the focal point of Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney, a kind of musical alchemy occurs. Somehow, a guy from Tucson, Arizona (also the home of Jojo in The Beatles' "Get Back," coincidentally) transforms into one of the men who put Liverpool on the musical map in the 1960s.
As impressive a feat as it is, it didn't happen overnight. In fact, Kishman's history of becoming McCartney goes all the way back to 1979, when he took the McCartney role in Beatlemania at the peak of that show's popularity, performing both on Broadway and around the world with the production for six years. Along the way, he also recorded as a solo artist for RCA Records and worked with legendary British rock band Wishbone Ash. However, eventually the pull of McCartney's music proved impossible for Kishman to resist.
When Kishman leads Live and Let Die, he allows audiences to focus on what he's best at in the Beatles experience: Paul alone. Accompanied by a crack band (and in another version of the show, backed by a full symphony orchestra), Kishman tackles Beatles-era McCartney classics like "Hey Jude," "Let It Be," and "Penny Lane" and solo McCartney smashes like "Jet," "Maybe I'm Amazed," and "Live and Let Die."
All over North America, Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney has taken the magic of these iconic tunes to die-hard Beatlemaniacs and newbies alike. The fact that Kishman looks like McCartney makes the whole thing more remarkable. And when you consider that he's earned praise for his performance not only from Beatles producer George Martin, but from McCartney himself, it's tough to imagine anybody more qualified to bring these songs to the stage.
Being an avid Paul McCartney fan, I wasn’t sure if I would be happy seeing a tribute band. Was I ever wrong! Tony is amazing in his craft. He puts on an incredible show and has got Paul’s nuances perfect! I sang and smiled the whole show. Looking forward to seeing Live And Let Die again😍
Such a great show! The audience was so much fun as well. It was like seeing Paul McCartney.
Tickets were a Christmas gift. First time at the venue. Parking was easy, ate at Roadies upstairs - shown to a table right away, waitress was very helpful, food great, view spectacular through the large windows. Can't wait to come back again in the summer to explore the area! It would have been really helpful to know where to wait for entrance. We left the restaurant and came down the stairs, standing in front of the doors labelled theater entrance. While we and several others waited there, we heard noise outside and it turned out there was a HUGE line of people waiting to enter. We were in the wrong place!!! Since tickets are General admission, selecting a seat could have been an issue. We were lucky, but was not expecting to wait outside in the cold. Show, lighting, sound, were great and easy access to snacks / beverages at the back of the room, All good.

I was expecting more of a solo Paul McCartney music Concert, instead of Beatles music, I wanted to hear more of his solo Stuff., Beatles music i can hear with the fab four. but it was Still an Ok show.
Talent level was really really good. Song choices were great. The whole concept is great. It was a one night only at my venue and I think the sound guy was not what he should have been.
it’s just not fair to drag all these people into a performance that is substandard. The band was great and talented. The orchestra did a very good job. The sound and lighting got into the groove quickly. But when the lead singer struggles in several places in almost every song, it takes the gloss and glimmer off the show and lessens the experience it should’ve been. The musician ship was professional, but the vocals reminded me of a middle school recital.
Great show! High quality recreations of ALL the hits as well as lesser played Wings songs. I will definitely be on the lookout for their return to Sacramento.
My mom, boyfriend and I loved the show! The singing, guitar playing, and everything sounded fantastic and I really felt like I was seeing Paul performing. I would definitely see these guys again!
