Lil Tjay on Tour

New York's Lil Tjay is a rapper-singer with street-level lyrics but pop star energy. Naturally, his live shows have no shortage of hand-waving, crowd singalongs, and a cappella breaks that highlight the depth and intricacy of his bars. Though his lyrics can be intense and personal, Lil Tjay's live shows explode with moments of shirtlessness and water-throwing. Hits like "Leaked," "Brothers" and the Top 20 smash "Pop Out" with Polo G have rocketed Tjay to multiple editions of the Rolling Loud Festival. His No Escape tour took him across America in 2019, and was followed by the True 2 Myself tour in 2020.

Lil Tjay in Concert

Bronx rapper Lil Tjay has racked up millions of streams for his seamless mixture of melodic inflection and intricate rhyming. His style has enough room for giddy pop and somber reflection, infectious songcraft and harsh realities. In turn, Tjay landed multiple songs on the Hot 100 before he left his teens. The artist born Tione Jayden Merritt emerged from hip-hop's place of origin, the South Bronx, absorbing the Michael Jackson, R. Kelly and Usher songs played by his mother. Further inspired by the raps of Drake, Rick Ross and Meek Mill, he started uploading music to SoundCloud in 2017: He was a sensation within his first year with songs about street life and the motivation to escape it. He promptly signed to Columbia Records, which released his No Comparison EP at the end of 2018 and his F.N EP in the summer of 2019. In that time, Tjay appeared on Polo G's breakout "Pop Out," which hit No. 11 on the pop charts, and collaborated with French Montana, Tory Lanez, Blueface and more. In 2019, Tjay released his debut album, True 2 Myself, which debuted in the Top 5 and features appearances by Lil Wayne, Lil Baby, Lil Durk and more.

Showed up late. very low budget for set

by Liam on 4/17/24Rogers Place - Edmonton

Tjay showed up 45 minutes behind schedule just like the fist Edmonton concert leaving us with less live music from him then the 2nd opener. The stage set was just led light post in front of a black curtain. Very disappointed

    Not a great performance

by K Wahl on 4/17/24Rogers Place - Edmonton

My son loved what he got to see (he’s 13) but the guy was 40 mins late and was on stage for about 40 mins. So as an adult who paid for the tickets that was ridiculous. I also was moved Seats as Production needed the section I was in and wouldn’t refund me the difference in tickets prices. They said it was equivalent but it was not as I was looking at row 5 before I bought row 2 and there was about a 40$ difference.

    Goosebumps

I have gone to see Lil Tjay twice now and it has been amazing everything single time. The crowd is always roaring and singing along, I have been so excited to go each time and will definitely keep going. He’s one of the artists which is amazing for first time concert go-ers and isn’t super expensive!

    It was a great experience

Gina Ayada was by far the best of the entire show. Her performance and music was awesome. The second act Kalan frfr was really good as well. Lil TJays performance to me was weak, like he was just there, not as energetic as the others, couldn't understand his words when they were sang.

    Relieving and amazing experience

by Malu on 12/13/23WAMU Theater - Seattle

Honestly I have always been a fan and I finally got around to go to his concert which I was very happy to see when Ticketmaster first let me know. Lil tjay just has something about his music that is pretty versatile cause one minute we were singing his slower songs and next thing you knew we were rapping his more upbeat songs. I felt bad for him at the beginning due to the fact that something wasn’t right with the sound check guy as the microphone just kept making a screeching sound. Didn’t ruin the performance or my experience with lil tjay at all. It had been a super long week. Even if we only got 40-45 minutes of songs. It was still a relief just to watch him perform again after everything he has been through. I gotta say for someone who had a near death experience. He made sure we enjoyed the show the entire time even with Seattle not being one of the bigger crowds. I hope we get to see him again on his next tour as I have always found his music therapeutic. If loved to see him in person again to witness the growth and of course to experience the complete peace and happiness I was at during the entire concert. I would definitely have someone tag along with me the next time.

    Worst concert I’ve been too

by JJ on 12/13/23WAMU Theater - Seattle

Bought tickets for me and a group of friends only for it to be on of the worst concerts :(. We knew it wasn’t going to be all that but wasn’t expecting it to be as bad as it was. Not only did he show up mad late, he only performed for like 45 minutes and left. He played snippets instead of letting the songs play out. The only good thing he did was play “Leaked” but other than that never going to a lil Tjay concert again. We were really disappointed… waste of 60$ each ticket
