Knucks, the British rapper and producer from South Kilburn, London, began his music career as a grime artist before dedicating his full energy to hip-hop with his 2014 debut mixtape Killmatic, a nod to both his hometown and Nas’ classic 1994 debut album. His next effort, 2019’s NRG 105 EP, marked Knucks’ major label debut, though he would go independent once again for 2020’s London Class EP. In 2021, Knucks broke out with the single “Los Pollos Hermanos,” which was later featured on his first full-length album Alpha Place in 2022. Alpha Place went on to win Album of the Year at the U.K.’s MOBO Awards in the category’s first-ever tie, shared with Little Simz. Knucks has shared bars with rappers such as Stormzy and Loyle Carner, and in 2023, he released his first major American crossover single “I Suppose” with Larry June and Kenny Beats.
