    Hilarious fun

by Smoky Mountain J on 12/21/23Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

I went to hear the choruses sing, and wasn't much geared up for a drag show. (I've attended my share of drag performances over the decades and typically find them repetitive and overdone.) When the characters came onstage, the costuming was over-the-top and I thought "Here we go again." Long story short, I can't remember when I've laughed so hard. When drunken Margo falls into the choir, I nearly peed my pants (would have, had there not been an intermission). The exaggerated costumes actually perfectly fit the outrageous comedy. I'd heard the men's chorus before at SoKno Pride in 2022, in a cavernous beer hall with no stage and a noisy crowd who were apparently not there to listen to a performance - not exactly ideal conditions - so it was good to hear them in a venue like the Bijou. The women's chorus is a fairly new entity - and it shows. I trust they will mature into the tight ensemble that the more experienced men's group presents.

    Wonderful Experience

by Mark D on 12/20/23Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

We went Sat matinee. Singing, drag Queen play was great; queens were polished and funny. I’ve seen three Christmas shows at Bijou and this was my favorite.

    KGMC concert

by Audience member on 12/20/22Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

The chorus is excellent. We always enjoy the singing. I find the drag show interludes to be distracting. The plot wasn't interesting and the performances weren't very good. I would prefer that the drag interludes be eliminated in preference for more music.

    Great Concert!

by Jenna M. on 6/7/22Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

The concert highlighted the struggles of being part of the LGBTQ+ community in a way that encouraged others to share their story and be proud of who they are. The concert was a good mix between ballads and upbeat songs with fun choreography and costumes. The presentation of the choir was professional and the vocal range was very impressive. Fun concert all around and a very enlightening way to start Pride Month.
