It was an amazing experience to watch them perform. It brought me back to being a little kid playing kingdom hearts 1&2 and it honestly brought tears to my eyes. Got to see them with my brother who also loves kingdom hearts. I hope they come to Detroit again so I can bring my wife with me this time
From the inception of the first game in 2002, I've been a fan since then. From Squaresoft games and Disney combining to create this masterpiece, having the entire soundtrack performed live 16 years was simply breathtaking. As moving as the musical pieces were, having the footage from the games playing made the experience much more nostalgic.
I had goosebumps almost the entire time! The moment that the event started and the orchestra started playing the intro, I couldn’t help but cry out of happiness. Truly amazing performance. Would love to see another show in the future!
Even if you didn't play Kingdom Hearts all the way through, its still a major experience and I'm so honored that I was able to be a part of it
Awesome Event! It was an absolute love letter to the fans of the Kingdom Hearts Franchise & a treat for music lovers period. Very nice touch to have the local Hawaii Symphony Orchestra play & their talent was not in lack. very impressive. I hope this opens the door for more video game orchestras (i.e: final fantasy, zelda, etc) to schedule concerts in Hawaii. The turnouts would be excellent.
The orchestra was such an experience. I have invited my nephew who’s a fan & my niece & sister who aren’t fans of Kingdom Hearts & they all loved the concert. This goes to show it was a great experience for fans & non fans alike. I would definitely attend it again & hope they will return.
Haven’t been playing the KH series for years and just listening to all the pieces was an emotional nostalgia. Esp with the HD screen playing scenes of the series. Brings true KH fans back to memories when they first played the game. First ever symphony I ever experienced and I’m happy it was Kingdom Hearts. Best moment was when the original composer Yoko Shimomura played with the orchestra at the end.
It brought me back to when I was first playing it.
If you love KH, you need to go to this concert. This will hit the feels real hard.
The combination of video and orchestra was very well done. The orchestra performed beautifully.
