    Book Tour

by Margie on 11/5/21The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I think the show was very good. Katie was upbeat, open and relatable. I thought the segment on colonoscopy was just too long. The information was valuable but it just took too much time away from the presentation. The segment with Savannah was excellent. She and Katie could have their own show. My only complaint was the price of the parking. $50.00 event parking with a 4 block walk was just outrageous.

Katie Couric Book Tour At Met Philadelphia

by ATMPhilly on 11/5/21The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

The Met is a very well run venue for shows. The only thing is get your parking in advance. The area is well lit however this section of Broad St needs a rehab. Katie's book tour was a fun experience and had special guests that were interesting. She is as personable in person as she is on air.

Katie, Plus A Nice Surprise !

by Marcky Marc ! on 11/5/21The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

What a nice show The Katie Couric Show was ! I even had the happy opportunity to meet with her prior to the show ! She told interesting anecdotes regarding her family and her history throughout the show. An unexpected surprise was when she called the famous newswoman Savannah Guthrie out onto the stage for an on - the - spot interview ! All - in - all, a fun and interesting way to spend a fine evening .

Katie is a masterful storyteller—I hung on her every word.

by Carolyn on 11/4/21The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I thank her for: being a top-notch journalist and human being, moving the ball forward for women, and gathering the truth and facts for all of us, over all these years.

Loved the book, not so much her tour

by Jdr on 11/4/21The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

A discussion in the middle of her show going into great detail about colon cancer and screening is not entertaining to all that payed money for the tickets. I understand her need to teach and make a difference but this was not the appropriate venue for that. The saving grace of her show was Savannah Guthrie, she was so sweet!

Loved the show! Hearing about Katie’s struggles and how she overcame them is very inspiring. She keeps it real. Savannah was wonderful to hear her story as well. Keep it real Katie, you are an inspiration.

    Katie was phenomenal!!

by Elizabeth on 11/2/21The Anthem - Washington

My sister and I usually go to 1-2 author experiences per year, Katie/Katherine is the first event we have been to since theaters closed. Katie was awesome and we loved special guests, Kara Swisher and surprise guest, Nikole Hannah-Jones. I felt like Katie was Katie and speaking to a friend.... Thank you for a great evening in DC From a friend in NC and sister in WV

    Just okay

by Beeps on 11/2/21The Anthem - Washington

Disappointed that the show was so short, shortened even more by two interviews, the first of which was sleep inducing. Maybe the book will be better. I would not go again, knowing what I know now!

Excellent outstanding... and experience of a lifetime!

by Diane on 11/1/21Beacon Theatre - New York

I laughed, I cried, I was moved and found myself thinking at the end, that it was one of THE BEST speaking events I have ever been to! If you can go - definitely make the time for this. You won't be sorry. Its a rare person who can combine and thoughtfully address and comment on such a range of issues with sharp insight from international and national policy issues, politics, office politics, heartbreaks in the news as well as her own devastating life events. I am so happy she has carved a new niche with her husband for this next phase of her career. Her book as well is dynamite. Excellent writing - fascinating stories. I flew out to New York from Las Vegas for her talk. And spent my whole airport waiting time and flight back listening to the audio tape where she reads the book to you herself!

    JUST OK

by Shrug on 11/1/21Beacon Theatre - New York

We looked forward to this event and enjoyed most of it but there were some things that could have been better. First of all, The Beacon was a lovely Theatre but Staff was not enforcing any of the mask mandates we were told to uphold. Also during the performance there were some very loud and obnoxious people in the audience that were woo hooing and shouting to Katie and were frankly quite obnoxiuos and never once did anyone of authority go over and ask them to stop! It was really annoying and disrespectful! The show ended very abruptly in my opinion, not sure if they ran out of time but it seemed odd. Maybe the production quality of the tour will improve as they do more shows but I do feel it fell a little short in NYC.

    Katie was awesome!

by Debra on 11/1/21Orpheum Theatre presented by Citizens - Boston

We loved seeing Katie and hearing what she had to say. Her guests were fabulous, but I would have liked less of them and more of her. The venue was a bit disappointing in terms of enforcement of the mask mandate. Although they did check vaccination status...it was cursory and some people walked through without that being checked. More importantly, there were people in the audience who were NOT wearing masks...and nobody said a word to them. One of the reasons we felt comfortable buying tickets and going to this event was because they said masks and vaccination/negative tests were MANDATORY. I wish those things would have been enforced.

    Straight from the book

by KathrynJean53 on 10/31/21Orpheum Theatre presented by Citizens - Boston

Katie’s a doll but we were surprised she was so scripted —word for word from Going There. The orpheum set up wasn’t great - we could hear the bathroom toilets flushing behind us from 20 rows down the orchestra aisle!

    Orpheum Boston Katie Couric

    more katie!

by Jeanne on 10/31/21Orpheum Theatre presented by Citizens - Boston

While your guests were interesting, hearing more of your stories would be better. Perhaps someone interviewing you similar to your recent media interviews.
