Kang Daniel on Tour
The charismatic South Korean singer and actor Kang Daniel is a storyteller, first and foremost. He weaves his personal story, including triumphs, disappointments, grief and fear, in a blend of genres, including alternative R&B, hip-hop, trap, and synth-pop.
His solo debut EP, Color on Me, was released in 2019 and topped South Korea's Gaon Album Chart. He released the EPs Cyan and Magenta in 2020, also topping the Gaon Album Chart. He won global acclaim in 2021, landing at No. 5 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart and No. 2 on the Gaon Digital Chart with the hit single "Paranoia." The final EP of the color trilogy, Yellow, was released in 2021 and topped the Gaon Album Chart, giving him his first No. 1 single in South Korea with "Antidote." Yellow was ranked No. 2 in Rolling Stone India's Best K-pop Albums of 2021 list.
In 2021, "State of Wonder," a single by Inverness featuring Kang Daniel and Anthony Russo, became Kang's first American collaboration. He released his debut full-length album, The Story, under his label KONNECT Entertainment, in May of 2022.
Kang Daniel Live in Concert
Kang Daniel (Kang Eui-geon) was born on December 10, 1996, in Busan, South Korea. He changed his name to Kang Daniel because Eui-geon was too hard to pronounce. A bible character is the inspiration for the choice of "Daniel."
He began dancing in a b-boy club in the eighth grade at a teacher's suggestion. He attended the Nataraja Academy, a dance studio in Busan. He then attended the Peniel High School of the Arts as a modern dance major with ballet as a second major.
Kang Daniel catapulted to fame when he won first place on the second season of the reality competition series "Produce 101." He was a member of the show's resulting boyband Wanna One. He began his solo career in 2019 and quickly became one of the most significant solo acts in South Korea, earning him the nickname "Nation's Center."
He made his acting debut on the Disney+ original series "Rookie Cops" in 2022.

This was actually my first concert at House of Blues. I was so excited that Kang Daniel was going to be in town performing, since I feel like Houston gets overlooked in favor of Dallas for shows in Texas. I had been listening to his music and loving it A LOT and then just happened to see he was coming to Houston. He gave a great show - I loved getting hear him in person, the songs were all ones I know and love and the videos were a lot of fun to see. The weather was warmer than usual so it had to be uncomfortable to perform in colder weather outfits, but he and his group of dancers worked hard anyway and made everyone happy. I especially loved that he talked to us in between sets; he was funny and sweet. I'm an older fan and I dragged my husband with me and he enjoyed it too. Thanks for the wonderful show, Kang Daniel, I hope you'll come back again!
It was a great concert. I love his work. His songs and choreography. The concert was most entertaining. I will wait for his return.
The concert itself was amazing and I would love to see Daniel again! I bought m&g which allowed me to get early entry so that was nice! But even with early entry I wasn’t able to see the entire concert which was disappointing. The meet and greet after the concert I didn’t even get to see or talk to the artist! I spent extra money on a 14 group picture with him on the other side of me. I just wish they would disclaim that it was a group photos of 14 as when they said group photos I though 4 or 5 at most!
The concert was great, the venue is smaller so it’s a great experience. Just be cautious the venue parking is $30+ and the drinks/food are also overpriced.
Kang Daniel himself was great! He's an amazing performer live. But the Wiltern's audio & sound system DID NOT do him justice!! The sound was HORRIBLE. His headset mic wasn't working well, you couldn't hear his voice and it was not in sync with the music. He eventually switched to the handheld mic which was a little better, but it was still hard to hear his voice. I know the Wiltern is a historic venue, the architecture itself is beautiful, but my only gripe with these older venues is that the technology is not up to date.
By the time of Nirvana performance ended, he has fans singing along, shouting out to him. The live singing is great especially during his wonderful vocals at Antidote and Ghost, that amplified by GREAT performances of many songs. His RAP was so GOOOOD during "How We Live" performance. The matter of singing it completely all by himself is already difficult (this song is featured by 2 artists) but rapping beautifully is ANOTHER LEVEL. The rap singing TUNE is wonderful. He did both very well that night. If he keeps this up, he is gonna be great, anticipating 👆👆👆
Kang Daniel can sing, dance, talk, and rap! Cant believe I got to see him up close and he was so cute and wholesome! Loved every single minute of the concert! Both KD and the audience enjoyed the show soooo much, and the staff were all nice and respectful.
The concert was great!!!! The staff was so nice. Didn't have any trouble going into the venue. The only thing is if your going to park at the venue it's going to be $30
His performance was absolutely breathtaking. I could not stop smiling the entire time. I wish it was longer tho😭 Kang Daniel is a very genuine person I love him so much! Also Paranoia’s performance was 🔥🔥🔥✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️ I will definitely be there next tour again!!!! This man is so talented. My current obsession fr!💕💕💕
