John Mayer is a man of contradictions. He’s an international pop star, but also an authentic bluesman endorsed by some of the genre’s biggest legends (B.B. King, Eric Clapton). He's famous for dating some of the entertainment industry's most beautiful women, but dislikes the red carpet and lives on a ranch in Montana. Mayer is known for his hushed-acoustic sound, but has collaborated with hip-hop giants Kanye West, Common, and Frank Ocean. Among the contradictions, however, exists a through line: Mayer’s prowess as a singer-songwriter and guitarist has remained a constant, earning him 7 Grammys and over 20 million album sales worldwide. After a series of granuloma-related throat surgeries forced him to take a complete vocal break in 2012, Mayer is fully recovered and back on tour in 2013 – fans can catch him LIVE in concert in support of his sixth studio album Paradise Valley, named after the site of his new Montana home.
Born and raised in Connecticut, Mayer took up the guitar at 13, inspired by the music of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Michael J. Fox’s epic guitar performance as Marty McFly in Back to the Future. After briefly attending Boston’s Berklee College of Music, Mayer dropped out to pursue his passion, and quickly attracted the attention of label execs with a March 2000 appearance at South By Southwest. His official 2001 debut Room For Squares went multi-platinum, and earned him his first Grammy – Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for “Your Body Is a Wonderland.” Mayer followed up in 2003 with Heavier Things, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and earned him two more Grammys, including Song of the Year for “Daughters.” 2006’s Continuum, Mayer’s third album, highlighted his blues sensibilities and landed him another Grammy, this time for Best Pop Vocal Album.
Dead & Company’s summer tour runs from May 31st to July 6th.

John Mayer "SOLO"concert was the BEST ONE YET!!!! Worth Every Dollar!!!! He was totally into the crowd... He is an Awesome Musician!!!
I've been a huge fan of John Mayer since 2014 and I am continuously blown away by this man's talent. He's truly one of the best <3 The only complaint I have is that I wish his shows lasted 10 hrs instead of 2! ;)
Loved seeing John Mayer in this setting! Great venue right next to downtown Austin
John Mayer concert was amazing! But the only issue were the alcoholic beverages served at the bar. I don’t mind the price, I just expect an amazing drink for the money I’m paying. The juices used to make drinks tasted sour. Like old citrus juice. Cranberry juice tasted watered down.
Incredible how he was able to carry an entire arena by himself and a guitar
I've been a fan for a very long time. Unfortunately, he has never toured India and probably never will. Since I moved to the US a year ago, I thought his concert was a must-do for me. I'm glad I went. Worth every dollar. He was beyond incredible!
I've seen John Mayer three times now! Two times at the Moody Center in ATX. The venue was great, the staff is fantastic and welcoming! John Mayer never fails to produce an awesome show! It was worth every penny!
John Mayer was absolutely incredible and was the best solo performance I have ever seen.
Last year I saw him, and it was the best show I’ve seen in a while. He voiced his distaste for most of the songs he sang (older songs), but he was more engaging with multiple areas of the stage. This time he selected a poor choice of songs (thanked the crowd for allowing him to play what was on his heart). I bought tickets for my mom, so she could hear the songs she loved in an acoustic version. My mother lives 6 hours away, to put that in perspective. Disappointed to say the least.
John Mayer always puts on a great show, but this one was special! Just him, his instruments and stories. It was nice to see him so down to earth and relating to the audience. GREAT TIME!
Mayer has an incredible voice and just as good live. IMO the concert felt a little forced. Like his manager said we have to go on tour and do it a little different. What if we did it without any other instruments and saved some $ in the process. It was definitely intimate, but still felt rushed.
John mayer concert was the best ever! Sound was amazing !
Amazing, talented and we'll prepared it was an amazing show from start to finish, from JP Saxe who open to when John Mayer stop playing. Awesome songs, awesome place everything was as expected or even better definitely would go again.
I preferred his show with his band. And he didn't play my fav songs. Regarding the venue, we were seated in a row below the bar and it was very loud with them cleaning toward the second half of the show.
Mayer Solo was a great show! It showcased 20+ years of music from John with throwback videos that took me back to my childhood. The crowd was great and Mayer was very much having fun and brought something new and fresh to his show and classic songs while delivering on what fans enjoy most.
Love every bit of it ♥️♥️♥️ It was such a good show. ♥️♥️♥️
As usual John M displayed his maestro guitar skills on top of his signature vocals in hit after hit after hit …. all solo but filled the stage with joy.
John Mayer is the best guitar player of my generation. Great lyrics as well. Fun show to see and loved him interacting with the crowd. Go see him!!!
Very fun. Remembering the old days with his music. Very nostalgic. He’s a great musician.
