When the onset of the pandemic and collapse of the live touring industry brought about the dissolution of the band he’d fronted since 8th grade, joe p found himself in isolation with time to step out and experiment on his own for the very first time. He threw himself into a new creative outlet, writing, recording and producing his most honest material to date from the refuge of his basement studio in New Jersey. What he surfaced with months later was a no frills, no pretense, raw and honest expression of self, and so he re-emerged into the world for the first time as his truest self, joe p.
Writing and posting homegrown ideas to TikTok, he watched as they organically started to take off and his following snowballed to close to 300k and millions of views in just a few months. Fans mobilized to spread the word and caught the attention of Zane Lowe who dueted a video of Joe debuting a taste of ‘Fighting in the Car’, kicking Joe's ascent into hyperdrive.
Having grabbed the attention of labels and gatekeepers alike, Joe signed a deal with Neon Gold and Atlantic Records to release his debut EP, Emily Can’t Sing.
Since the release of the EP in October, the song ‘Off My Mind’ has gone from viral Tik Tok clip to garnering over 5 million Spotify streams, and Joe has continued to gain traction with his odd approach to social media, and his retro, B-movie inspired videos.
Joe P and his band played phenomenally, they’re talented musicians. The emotion and strategic playing and lyricism made it engaging and really fun. It’s refreshing hearing actual live music, not some premixed and prerecorded back track. i’ve been to over 20 shows and this is in my top 2 for sure! joe you kick ath:)!
I was looking forward to seeing the headliner for this show very much. The opener came on, and for the entire set I could only hear the tracks and drums. The vocals were not there as well as the guitars. Joe P came on, and for some reason the levels were so much better. He did absolutely amazing too! Good experience overall. Just bummed about the sound for the openers.
Just saw Joe P at Ocean’s Calling. What a great experience. He was awesome. We live in New Jersey as well. We are hoping to see him in our home state. Now off to find his merch.
The concert was amazing and he is an amazing singer as well. His natural voice makes it even better and how real he keeps it with his fans. Real about life and the reality of an rising artist.
It was such a great show! The venue sounded great. Not too crowded, easy access to bathroom and drinks.

Woah. This entire show was absolutely amazing. I had been following Joe P for a while now and was so excited to see him on his first headline tour! Even better, at one of my favorite venues of all time! When he came out on stage the energy was electric. I was maybe the second row of people to the stage and had an amazing view, but have heard that there is no bad view at the Foundry at all. We were obviously the best and loudest crowd he's had yet, and I like to think it's because Philly just does it better. A wonderful night filled with great music, energy, and people!
Best show I’ve ever been to. Joe P’s energy rocked the house. Phenomenal musicianship. I’d love to see him play again.
The first time I saw Joe P he was on tour with Spacey Jane. Joe’s set was the highlight of the night. You can tell he has so much passion for the music he makes and bleeds through in his performance. Each song holds so much emotion. From first listen to each song it sounds simple but there is a deeper meaning. If you ever get the chance to see Joe P you should definitely take that chance. You won’t regret it.
Joe P was a highlight of the show with Joywave on the Cleanse tour. While he may not have a massive discography his love and passion for music bleeds through every line. Amazing performer can't wait to see again.
