Jay's show was moving and you could see it in the way a large portion of the audience was so moved. I went to two different shows in LA, and it was a different show each time, as you never know what to expect when volunteer guests are pulled at random to go on stage. I haven't seen a show like this before but I would love to see more.
Jay shetty was amazing however the location of the seats were blocked by big speakers and i couldn't see the screen and sometimes the people he brought up!

I really love Jay Shetty think he is a genuine person which is why it was so weird to see him perform such a gimmicky cheesy show.. i honestly wouldn’t recommend it to others so it doesn’t skew their view of him. I truly believe he wants to help people but this was just not the way to go about it .

Jay Shetty is a very intellectual person. His books have been great, and his podcast are also pretty amazing! However, this in person tour was completely not what I was expecting. I really was hoping to hear more about his story, him being a monk, and what really inspired him to write this new book. I didn’t get any of that, and I was highly disappointed with his show. it seemed very interactive and like a game show and that is not what I was expecting from Jay Shetty. I still think he is super intellectual and his books are amazing but the show was disappointing.
There was virtually no reference to his book 8 rules of love. It was slapstick and vague. I brought people with me who wanted to buy the book but didn’t because the show was goofy. Did he even have a script or it was it off the cuff? There is no reason for anyone to buy the book from his speaking at the performance. His first book was direct and to the point. I’ve read it 6 times. Still like Jay but won’t get 8 rules!
I've been following Jay Shetty for about a year now via his books, podcasts, and IG. His live talk at the Chicago Theatre around his book 8 Rules of Love inspired me in a number of ways. He was interactive with the audience and the way he was able to get people to share and open up inspired me to be more curious about the people around me. He inspired me to care about the impact I leave on people and not just those that I'd want to form a romantic relationship with, but ANY relationship. Jay gave me a new meaning for what it is to know yourself and to be a working member of a community - one that builds people up, works together to identify problems and let go of negative behavior cycles/loops, and continues to build an evolving purpose that aims to spread LOVE in the world. Jay has a stage presence like none I've ever experienced. He had the crowd engaged and is such an incredible story teller that I can't help but share my experience with others at work, at home, and anywhere that people are open to listening. THANK YOU, JAY! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!
Jay Shetty is a MUST see. I have been following him for quiet some time and everything he is online - is the exact same in person. He brings you into this atmosphere of comfort and vulnerability. You laugh, you cry and you just feel healed overall.
Such a love-filled event with a beautiful balance of depth and lightheartedness. I left with a full heart. Thank you Jay <3
