Janet Jackson is an R&B and pop singer who has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and won five Grammys. As the 10th child of the famous Jackson family, the superstar began recording her own music in the early 1980s and broke out with the release of her third studio album, 1986’s Grammy-nominated Control. The album and its socially conscious follow-up, 1989’s Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814, established Jackson’s long collaboration with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and helped pioneer the new jack swing genre. Smash albums like 1993’s Janet, 1997’s The Velvet Rope and 2001’s Grammy-nominated All For You followed, with Jackson amassing 10 No. 1 singles to her name. Jackson continued releasing music into the 2000s and earned another Top 20 hit with 2007’s “Feedback.” Her 2015 album, Unbreakable, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and in 2022, she starred in JANET JACKSON., the first documentary series about her life, career and legacy.

I love Janet Jackson, show was great but I think it could have used more visuals and theatrics.
It was my first janet jackson concert. It was an awesome concert.
I've seen Janet Jackson perform about 5 times before this concert. I was disappointed in the overall show as well.as the changes made to the venue seating. This will be the last time I spend my money to see her. I spent almost $200 a ticket to be seated in seats so bad that I couldn't see most of the show. The seats were supposed to be on risers by the mixer (had sat in that area several times before) & instead was in the last row by the exit. Horrible! The parts of the show that I could see were lackluster - she only had 4 male dancers & she hardly danced.

It was GREAT to see Janet Jackson. I do feel that the quality of the production was lacking. The sound was muffled and the bass was so extreme that my hair was moving. I don't think that level of bass was necessary to appreciate the music. It appeared that a lot of the back up singing might have been pre-recorded, so that contradicts a "live performance".
We paid a significant amount of money for front row seats, only to discover that between us and the stage was a row of HUGE speakers that constantly put out extremely strong, loud, body-shaking notes. It was VERY uncomfortable, to say the least, and we thought about leaving - and would have left had it been anyone other than Janet Jackson! Although her performance was stellar, we couldn't enjoy it because literally the music got in the way. Its so "old school"to put huge speakers right in front of the audience. We were very disappointed that no consideration was given to how her fans would be affected by the decisions her team made regarding where to place - and how loud to blast - the speakers. There are other places to position speakers - and in fact we saw Nickelback at the same arena the week prior, had third row seats, the speakers were not in front of the stage but were elsewhere, and Nickelback's sound was absolutely superb.
I don't think Janet was given the proper facilities to put on the show she could, not even certain they exist in Hawaii. It was a glorified talent show. Tired, old venue (they just did renovations?) - the sound was not great either. Tickets for the following day were 50% off and BOGO - which sucked considering we paid full price. Our tickets were also labeled as "LIMITED VIEW"AFTER we purchased.
The sound balance wasn’t great., the bass was very loud, and it made it so you could barely hear Janet signing, ear plugs helped but the sounds was way over powering the arena.
You don’t even have to be a Janet Jackson fan to loooove her concert. She did the hits, some slow songs, some new songs, worked the stage and tore it down! Her back up dancers were entertaining and really set the vibe. You won’t be disappointed watching the queen!
Janet was awesome! She’s classy and a great performer.
What can I say, Janet Jackson can still give an amazing performance, thrill the crowd, and have us on our feet from the moment she hit the stage until the last bow and wave. I love this woman and will travel the world to see her performance.
Janet in Hawaii was a great experience. Very different to past concerts I’ve been to of hers with minimal prompts and back up dancers but it is JANET, what’s not to like. Janet is an entertainer, she continues to bring something new to the stage. I am thrilled that I had the opportunity to travel from Australia to see her. Limited side view was fine as we were close to the stage, the only down side was when she sat for a couple of songs, the DJ blocked our view, we had limited view to the screens but we could hear her perfectly fine :)
The concert experience was ruined by poor speaker positioning & a sound mix that was improperly adjusted. The cost of. The ticket should not have substandard conditions for the audience. Janet Jackson is an excellent performer, I just wish the other components of the concert was up to par.
Too much bass. She has a beautiful delicate voice but you could not hear it over the bass. Not even when she sat on the riser on the stage. Best musical moments were lost. We left about half way through the show. Very sad. Never had bass acoustics issues with Diana Ross, Bruno Mars, or Journey.
Had a great time dancing throughout. Very energetic. The dancers were really good and Janet was also dancing and singing the night away. At her age, I give her 5 stars. It was an awesome concert.
From the moment she was onstage until the end, Janet and her crew were on point and entertaining! The song choices were amazing. As usual, Janet’s interaction with the audience and her candidness made the show amazing. I can’t wait for her to come back again!
It was a smooth experience for us. We didn’t get to avail the valet but it all worked out. Getting in was smooth and it’s nice that there’s people that guided us to make sure we don’t go to the wrong seats. The only think that was weird was when we bought bottle water the cap wasn’t allowed so we end up spilling by our seats with all the dancing movement. But if you purchase alcohol lid is allowed. Totally understand if there’s safety reasons behind it but alternative option would be nice. Overall it was a great experience. Totally would do it again.
Janet is amazing. There is no other performer like her. The way she performs, approaches the audience is something unbelievable. In general the concert was 10 out of 5 🌟. I attended 2 times, on March 8th and March 10th. Just go, don’t hesitate, it’s worth it 🫶🏼
The show was great but from where we were sitting, the monitor screen was blocked by a huge speaker. Not all of us have front row seats, move those speakers or move the screen. Neal Blaisdell Center, the paying public deserves better. Thank you.
