About

Iron Maiden are one of the most formative bands to establish the heavy metal genre in the ’80s. Formed in 1975 in East London, the band underwent several personnel changes before releasing their self-titled debut in 1980. Iron Maiden’s sophomore effort, 1981’s Killers, was the first to chart in the U.S. and marked the final release with lead singer Paul Di'Anno. With the installment of frontman Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden released their breakthrough 1982 album, The Number of the Beast, which reached platinum certification, introduced two staples to the band’s catalog with the title track and “Run to the Hills” and kicked off a 10-year run of releases to land in the Top 40 on the Billboard 200, including their 1983 follow-up Piece of Mind and 1986’s Somewhere in Time. Dickinson departed in 1993, but returned in 1999 to cement the current lineup with bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris; guitarists Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers; and drummer Nicko McBrain, along with the band’s long-standing mascot “Eddie,” whose skeletal figure has graced the cover of nearly every release and become a signature of their live performances. Iron Maiden reached a new level of mainstream success in the ’10s, winning their first Grammy in the Best Metal Performance category for their 2010 single “El Dorado,” while 2010’s The Final Frontier and 2015’s The Book of Souls both earned No. 4 placements on the Billboard 200, marking their highest-charting albums at the time.

    The Disappointment!!!

    by Spartan686 on 10/3/23Rogers Place - Edmonton

I guess I waited to long to see them ! The sound was horrible and the stage setting was kinda lame ! And possibly the worst girl band to ever open for a major metal group !!!! So needless to say they was let down on this ! And wasn’t the only one …

    Maiden still goes hard

    by Metalman96 on 10/3/23Rogers Place - Edmonton

I couldn't believe how incredible Maiden was. They're all in their 60's so I was preparrd to give them some slack, but I absolutely did not have to. They all played their instruments incredibly, and not only was Bruce's voice easily as good as on the album, I couldn't believe how acrobatic he was. I'm so glad that i got a chance to see them live.

    Maiden never disappoints!!

by Metal Maiden on 10/3/23Rogers Place - Edmonton

This show was killer. The special effects were phenomenal as usual, with Iron Maiden. This was my 9th time seeing them. I have never been disappointed by one of their concerts. Bruce and the rest of the band, put on a stellar performance. Bruce was in fantastic physical shape, he ran across the stage numerous times and kept the fans rockin' out! Would go see these guys 100 times if possible!

    FLAWLESS!

by Ian on 10/3/23Rogers Place - Edmonton

The entire event was flawless! The venue and the concert. Ticket Master kept me informed the entire time. I'm very pleased with that. However, I dealt with Ticket-Center when I first heard about this concert so I bought my ticket through them. I GOT HOSED!! $800 for just an average seat. I've asked for a return of some of my money. Stay away from Ticket-Center.

by Teagan on 10/3/23Rogers Place - Edmonton

Wow wow wow!! I’d seen other old bands in the past and other than poison none of them were in as fantastic shape as iron maiden! The stage presence was amazing and the music was obviously even better! Highly recommend to any fans!

    Maiden Edmonton

by Gwinning on 10/3/23Rogers Place - Edmonton

Was thoroughly disappointed, played mostly music off their new album and not enough of their hits. I’ve seen them 5 times prior and each time their shows were excellent. Not this one. Too bad.

Iron Maiden - The Future Past

by TTF on 10/3/23Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

Another great show from Iron Maiden, lots of energy and great songs. I recommend listening to the two albums (Senjutsu and Somewhere in Time) before the show to get familiar with the songs. Don't expect to hear all the classic hits, only Can I Play with Madness, Fear of the Dark, Iron Maiden, and Trooper. Merchandise stands had very, very long lines (1h30 at least). Some very neat shirt designs. People missed the first act to stand in line. If you plan on getting a shirt, I would recommend being there as soon as the building doors open. The first group was entertaining, I didn't catch their names. Know there's at least 30 minutes between the acts.

    Iron Maiden was awesome!

by Dileah on 10/2/23Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

Enjoyed the concert thoroughly!! Only thing is I have trouble with stairs and we did not realize we were pretty close to the very top! The map was not clear of where we were situated! But over all was very good, could see everything and hear clearly!
