Into the woods
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
Broadway cast was the touring cast and so got to experience some iconic artists that I’ve been following for years. The bar was high and they still exceeded. Loved this revival.

AMAZING BROADWAY CAST TOURING PRODUCTION
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
I so thoroughly enjoyed this touring broadway cast production. Gavin Creel was side splitting funny as the wolf and Cinderella's prince. Little Red was spot on as well. To be able to see Stephanie J Block and her husband Sebastian in a touring show as the Baker and the Baker's wife was a dream come true! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!

Too long too weird
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
Forgot that Into the Woods is the only play my family ever walked out at intermissionyears Go when it was originally on Broadway. Should have left this time as well. Great actors, but nonsensical writing.

Wonderful
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
I went with my 2 youngest kids, mom and aunt. It was enjoyed by everyone. Great music and funny! Little Red Ridinghood was a hoot! The music has been stuck in our heads and we’ve been singing it ever since! Theatre seats were great!

Wonderful Show
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
Into the woods was a great show. The characters came to life on stage. The only issue we had was the people who arrived late and were seated during the show blocking our view for long periods of time. We spent extra to get main floor seats, only 5 rows back, to be able to see. We unfortunately, were not able to see several times due to people being seated and ushers standing in our view during the performance. There was actually one entire song i could not see due to a group being led to the front and seated after the show had started.

Into The Woods (Broadway Tour)
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
The show was absolutely phenomenal! From the first downbeat to the final note. The staging, vocals, acting, and direction were spot on. The cast was incredible. The Sondheim music was the highlight. The orchestra was featured being on stage and hearing an audience experience the brilliance, and magic of Sondheim was next level!

Phenomenal! Stunning voices. On pointe comedic timing. Only drawback was show was leaving the next day so didn’t have time to watch again. Definition of a ‘MUST SEE.’

Best Version
James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago
I’ve seen at least 5 other productions of Into the Woods, and this was by far the best! This cast was on fire and was extremely responsive to the audience.

Here's a reason to be happy ever after...
Direct from Broadway, the critically acclaimed and much beloved production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony®-winning triumph is coming to Chicago with its Broadway stars to boot. INTO THE WOODS features Montego Glover as The Witch, Stephanie J. Block as The Baker's Wife, Sebastian Arcelus as The Baker, and Gavin Creel as Cinderella's Prince/Wolf - all reprising their Broadway roles - in a production called "radiant" (Variety), "enchanting" (The Wall Street Journal), and "a priceless revival with a perfect cast" (The Washington Post). Directed by Lear deBessonet (Hercules), this theatrical event honors Sondheim's legendary memory and his Broadway masterpiece like never before.
"Should you go? Of course you should!" (The New York Times).
