    There’s room for improvement…

by JC on 2/23/23Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom - Ridgefield

For the price we paid, we would’ve liked to have an actual meal, instead of just appetizer options. There were adequate amount of drink punches, but the food fell short. Would’ve liked a different food experience and more punches/tokens…we spent $60 a person and left hungry. The available options weren’t worth purchasing more tokens for.

    Brewfest

by Bob on 2/22/23Rose & Thorn - Ridgefield

This years was fine, but last year was much better in the sports bar… And the drink service and variety offered. No lines to wait in last year especially!!

    Worth every penny!

by Retired beerguy on 2/21/23Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom - Ridgefield

Was pleased with the selection - from newer, upcoming breweries to some old standbys. And the addition of some cideries and spirits was welcomed. Only complaint (and I understand the circumstances): it would have been nice to have reps on hand to talk about their breweries, explain their offerings, etc. But, all things considered, it was well worth the admission price and the 2.5-hour drive.

    Crowded event

by Deb on 2/21/23Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom - Ridgefield

The event was very crowded and hot. Lots of beverage choices, but food limited with very long crowds. Impossible to get a seat for the chefs. I would recommend another room for the chefs to work from. We won’t be attending again.

It was okay. I expected it to be better than it was.

by NewBrewfester on 2/21/23Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom - Ridgefield

Since there were a lot of people attending, the room was rather hard to move around. This activity should have been in a larger room or there should have been a limit as to how many people could attend at a time. Due to this issue, the room was every warm to being hot. There weren't any seats at the table to eat (and there weren't many tables to begin with), so you had to stand and eat or walk around and eat. There were only a few seats available to watch the chefs, so if you weren't lucky enough to get a seat then the rest of the attendees to this event had to stand and watch. Standing for 4 to 5 hours straight is not an idea situation. I had the clam chowder soup and it was runny and not that good. It was okay. The chef that made that soup needs to get a new recipe. I have had better clam chowder soup from the chef at Nordstrom's Cafe.

    Great Event

by NW BeerGirl on 2/21/23Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom - Ridgefield

This was a great event! The perfect amount of samples, food and drink was on hand. A great value.

    Fun but a little underwhelming

by Taylor B on 2/21/23Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom - Ridgefield

The event was fun overall. They had good swag and good beer. The food was also really good. I feel like they are probably working out kinks with the event because last year the food set up wasn’t as good (as far as ticketing, options, and portion sizes) but the beer set up was better. This year the pours were way smaller. I had family members actually get “cut off” last year because the pours were way bigger. This year, you got 20 punches. Each beer sample was 1 punch and each liquor sample was 2 punches. The liquor had controlled pour spouts which only put out 1/4 shot…. For two punches… it was actually ridiculous how little you got. And then the beer samples, depending on the booth, were soooo tiny as well. MAYBE 1.5 ounces. I know the point of the event isn’t to get hammered or anything but more so to sample different beers. When they have the option of “designated driver tickets”, that generally implies that you should expect to at least be “over the legal limit” when you leave… but instead, you pay $50 for tickets sample a bunch of beer, eat some good food, and leave stone cold sober. If you’re going into the event expecting to get even a nice buzz going, lower your expectations.

    Best Brewfest Ever

by Jilly Bob on 2/21/23Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom - Ridgefield

This was my first time to the Ilani Casino and to this festival. We paid extra to do the Bourbon Seminar on Saturday and it was totally worth it. I loved the variety of drink options in the festival and the chance to see celebrity chefs. The food was also amazing. I missed out on ticket to the mimosa brunch so I'm definitely going to try for that next year. I highly recommend this festival!

Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom, Ridgefield, WA Brewfest

by zfinch on 2/21/23Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom - Ridgefield

I enjoyed the guest chefs, but there was not enough seating and folks were leaving after each show. The food was too expensive for the portion size.
