    25% ON TAP

by Ashley on 11/4/23Neal S Blaisdell Exhibition Hall - Honolulu

The event is half the size of previous years. Also most vendors provided beverage from cans and not on tap.

    Gets Worse Each Year

    by Steady on 11/1/23

Been going since this started seltzer. years ago. Started to get worse before Covid. This year was way worse than last year, meaning they can't use covid as an excuse this time. One quarter of the arena was blocked off, so less offerings than previous years. About one third of offerings were seltzer, and not even unique seltzers. I definitely won't be attended these events in future.

    Going down hill

by Ontapper on 10/25/23Neal S Blaisdell Exhibition Hall - Honolulu

This event seems to be getting worst year after year. This year didn’t even include food tickets for VIP.

    Disappointed

by G&P&J on 10/24/23Neal S Blaisdell Exhibition Hall - Honolulu

We have been to every Honolulu On Tap except for the Covid reschedule. It was very disappointing to see the number of vendors this year. The cups were plastic instead of the glass souvenir cups, hardly any clothing/merchandise vendors and the liquor vendors were cut to more than half. The other events had rows and rows and rows of liquor vendors. I felt that the money spent on VIP tickets were a complete rip off this year. Seriously doubting about attending anymore which breaks my heart because it was always a good time.

    Decent at best

by Hapa Hops on 10/24/23Neal S Blaisdell Exhibition Hall - Honolulu

Been going to the beerfest events pre and post pandemic and this Honolulu On Tap was middle range for beer events. Not a lot of vendors, not a lot of beer vendors either. Only a handful of food vendors available compared to other events. The VIP swag was pretty lame, a cheap little bag compared to other events as well. Only a few local biz groups represented, appreciated the rym job ladies haha. The beer/cider/selters vendors they did have didn't seem to be prepared for the volume of people either. By 3:45-4pm they were shutting down some locations due to running out of beer. With the exception of Kona brew, the breweries didn't have any signage up to see what you were getting in line for. This meant lots of people just crowding to the front, line skipping and hard to know where you wanted to go next. If they wanna charge $70 for VIP again in the future, this will be a hard pass. I can go to a local brewery and have just as much fun for that price.

    Getting Worse

by DrnkRchrd on 10/24/23Neal S Blaisdell Exhibition Hall - Honolulu

Post Covid, Honolulu on Tap has gotten worse, while charging more for admission. They advertise a souvenir glass with ticket purchase, but give a plastic cup instead. They used to give food voucher tickets, as well. The worse part is that the amount of breweries at the event are a third or a of the amount pre covid. The 2022 event was dismal, but this year (2023) was worse.

Can we get a better venue?

by Unsatisfied on 10/24/23Neal S Blaisdell Exhibition Hall - Honolulu

Music was loud, and the inside of the Blaisdell made me feel like I was at a swap meet, not a tasting. Price point was ok, but it didn’t feel like much effort was put into this event. Why wasn’t there a theme (like traveling from city to city or island?), games (beyond a bunch of cornhole, how about some blind taste testing or something for prizes?), or a stamp card (to encourage trying all beers/stations?). I won’t be going next year, I’d rather buy $120 (my wife and I) worth of 6 packs and do our own “tasting” BBQ.
