Saw the show on Sunday the 5th, nice crowd, and the theater looks great with new seats and a complete remodel. The show Skates is the perfect show for the reopening. The cast starring Diana DeGarmo is just terrific. The story is heart warming ,and the music is lively and touching. Roll a long to the Windy Skating Rink for a lively show . This cast and the music will get you clapping and laughing.
We attended one of the first performances and it was fantastic. The original score had some real standouts. The choreography was great - the actors wear platform shoes rather than roller skates in the rink scenes and it's incredible what they manage to do (and how much like skating it really looks). The cast really nailed it - the anti-chemistry between Jacqueline and Blake through their relationship is stellar but Jackie and Jack stole the show.
