About

Hayley Williams on Tour

As the frontwoman for Paramore, Hayley Williams made an enormous impact as a live performer. Between her superhuman vocal range and her dynamic stage presence, she's been electrifying audiences all over the world. Fans have come to know Williams as a performer who throws every ounce of herself into each show. She'll stalk the stage with wild abandon one moment and become laser-focused in her intensity the next. And when she started engaging in projects beyond her Paramore role by busting out into a solo career, Williams brought her big bag of performance skills right along with her. So whether she's wailing out a rocker in front of her old bandmates or delivering something more stylistically unexpected on her own, you can expect the fierce force of her artistry to come to the fore.

Hayley Williams in Concert

The world was first alerted to the larger-than-life voice of Hayley Williams when her band Paramore released their first album, All We Know Is Falling, in 2005. With their mix of punk, pop, emo and alt-rock influences, the Tennessee band really took off with their second album, Riot!, and its quadruple-platinum single "Misery Business." Paramore became one of the hottest indie-rock bands in America, thanks in no small part to the vocal firepower and songwriting skills Williams possessed in abundance. While she'd dabbled in projects outside of Paramore — guesting on songs by such groups as Chvrches and New Found Glory — the first time Williams really asserted her musical identity apart from the band was when she released her 2020 debut solo EP, Petals for Armor I. The single "Simmer" quickly became a Top 10 hit on rock radio, and the diverse range of textures and styles on the album indicated Williams had things to say far outside the framework that first made her famous.
