    Just okay

by Mdec on 6/27/23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Just okay - would be great if you LOVE the symphony I’m sure but it didn’t add much for someone who is just a Harry Potter fan. The orchestra is in front of the movie screen, we didn’t know this and sat very front row so our view was impeded by the string section and the conductor for the whole movie. No better than watching the movie at home.

    Just the movie

by Pedro on 6/26/23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

It’s pretty much just the movie, not super entertaining unless you are a die hard fan

Great way to get the family involved.

by Nancy on 6/26/23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

My 13 year daughter has never had interest in seeing orchestra. But this was intriguing to here. She loved the experience and the music. She can’t wait until the chamber of secrets. I think she will be open to seeing other musical events as well. A great gateway for younger individuals to culture. Thank you.

This was such an immersive experience! At points during the performance you completely forgot that the orchestra was there! You felt like you were just watching the movie and then suddenly you remembered the orchestra was playing! It was phenomenal!!!

    Simply Magical

by Ravenclaw on 6/26/23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The performance was amazing! If you only paid attention to the movie you never would have known the ESO was there, they were that much on point. It was pure perfection. I cant wait till the Chamber of Secrets come

    A fun night out!

by Lolo on 1/29/19Canadian Tire Centre - Kanata

This was such a good show and experience, I think the NAC orchestra should perform more shows like this one! The one thing that could of made this experience better was the size of the TV screen for watching the movie. The screen was quite small, and there was a bad glare. Overall, it was a great experience!!

    Go before you sit down!!

    by M. H. on 1/29/19Canadian Tire Centre - Kanata

We were at the screening of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone with the NAC orchestra on Saturday night. I would like to make a comment to help improve the experience for others in the future. When screening a film in this venue, can you try to implement some sort of influence to curtail people leaving their seats while the film is showing. We had aisle seats facing the screen. Every time someone exited or entered the stadium by the stairs beside us our vision was blocked. This happened every few minutes and spoiled our enjoyment of the programme. Frequent visitors to the venue used to watching hockey do not experience this interruption. Can the same respect be granted to film goers? Can the venue be considered like a regular movie theatre during this time when patrons stay put for the most part in their seats for the duration of the film? The NAC orchestra was phenomenal. A pleasure to listen to and watch. Thanks for the experience.

It was a wonderful night out, such a diverse audience, the orchestra was amazing and really enhanced the movie. The music during the credits was awesome. Thanks to everyone who made it possible.
