Happy Together Tour in Concert
When the Happy Together Tour rolls into town, a beautiful kind of magic trick occurs. For just a little while, the cares of the current world seem somehow to melt away as the sound of a free, colorful era long gone rises up in the air once more. It gives us all a glimpse of what it was like to live in that golden moment of the 1960s, when the glorious vocal harmonies of The Turtles and their contemporaries came bursting out of just about every radio and jukebox in America.
When Turtles frontmen Flo & Eddie — and the rest of their '60s pop/rock compatriots on the bill — step up to the microphone, the years melt away as the hits of the Aquarian Age come back around. It's enough to make even the most jaded listener believe in the possibilities of flower power again, for at least as long as the concert lasts.
Happy Together Tour Background
Few bands embody the spirit of classic '60s pop like The Turtles, fronted by the legendary Flo & Eddie, aka Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan. A quintessential exponent of the summery-sounding, harmony-heavy "sunshine pop" coming out of the West Coast in the mid-to-late '60s, The Turtles stamped their name on pop/rock history forevermore with indelible hits like "She'd Rather Be With Me," "You Showed Me," "Elenore," and, of course, the immortal "Happy Together."
In 1984, Flo & Eddie mounted the first Happy Together tour, bringing the sounds of the '60s to a new era on a bill with The Association and other like-minded peers. Over the years, a lofty list of '60s heroes have joined The Turtles on the tour, including The Cowsills, The Buckinghams, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, and The Classics IV, giving contemporary audiences a taste of that old-school magic.
The concert started with the Cowsills! They sounded just like they did years ago!! All the groups were awesome but I especially enjoyed The Classics Four and Little Anthony! Their voices were smooth and clear and they sang songs that I’m still humming now three days later. If you want to bring back memories, then this is the concert for you!!
This is a MUST see show. The music was as fresh as it was in the 60's. It is hard to believe these songs are 50 years old...but it was as if we just heard them on the radio. Great, Great time.

Best concert I’ve seen in ages. All the performers were amazing. Can’t wait till they come back or the Civic Center can schedule another “oldies” concert
Every one of the six groups brought back memories. Great that all this time we all remember all the words to each song. Nice to see that all the performers still enjoyed entertaining. The best part the performers and the audience didn’t age (in our own minds). Thanks it put us on a high for the next week! .
All the performers were really entertaining and it was a good combination for the evening. Not too long not too short great band backup. Perfect for our age group we're in the 70s and '80s

This fast paced, multi act show was phenomenal! All the entertainment was awesome but my favorite was the smooth, strong clear vocals of The Classics IV. So nice, left us wanting more! Definitely will be returning to see the show again asap.
this was a fun experience which brought back great memories of a different time. I admire the artists for still being able to perform as age takes a toll on us as we all know. They were spectacular in their performances and I look forward to seeing them again. Good to know that our "times"have not been forgotten.Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Aside from the fact the artists are much older and have been holding their own, the concert was AAA1. It took me back to my time in High School back in the 60s. I will keep going to this as long as the bands hang together.
The show started right on time which is appreciated and quickly transitioned into the next act. The intermission was too long in my opinion. Unfortunately Gary Pucket and Little Anthony need to hang it up as their voices have significantly deteriorated. I do love them for their musical contributions.

Had tickets for last years tour in Effingham but tested positive for covid the day before. Was really glad to get to go this year. The performances were all so great, my wife and I had the best time and plan to go next year if they have it again

The concert was so enjoyable and fun! It was great to be able to sing along to hits we loved years ago! We were celebrating my husband's birthday and had the best time.
The groups sang the best of their songs, and interacted with the crowd. I along with other people around me were all singing. The songs brought back great memories.
