Happy Together Tour in Concert
When the Happy Together Tour rolls into town, a beautiful kind of magic trick occurs. For just a little while, the cares of the current world seem somehow to melt away as the sound of a free, colorful era long gone rises up in the air once more. It gives us all a glimpse of what it was like to live in that golden moment of the 1960s, when the glorious vocal harmonies of The Turtles and their contemporaries came bursting out of just about every radio and jukebox in America.
When Turtles frontmen Flo & Eddie — and the rest of their '60s pop/rock compatriots on the bill — step up to the microphone, the years melt away as the hits of the Aquarian Age come back around. It's enough to make even the most jaded listener believe in the possibilities of flower power again, for at least as long as the concert lasts.
Happy Together Tour Background
Few bands embody the spirit of classic '60s pop like The Turtles, fronted by the legendary Flo & Eddie, aka Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan. A quintessential exponent of the summery-sounding, harmony-heavy "sunshine pop" coming out of the West Coast in the mid-to-late '60s, The Turtles stamped their name on pop/rock history forevermore with indelible hits like "She'd Rather Be With Me," "You Showed Me," "Elenore," and, of course, the immortal "Happy Together."
In 1984, Flo & Eddie mounted the first Happy Together tour, bringing the sounds of the '60s to a new era on a bill with The Association and other like-minded peers. Over the years, a lofty list of '60s heroes have joined The Turtles on the tour, including The Cowsills, The Buckinghams, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, and The Classics IV, giving contemporary audiences a taste of that old-school magic.
I took my Daughter with me. It was an exoerience she will never forget. She is just old enough to remember listing to her Mom and Dad sing along with most of the songs as a passenger in our car. Little Anthony was a show stopper. impossible to believe he is 80 years old and still ha it!!!!!
Fantastic concert. This was our second time for the Happy Together Tour. There will be a third for us next year.

I still don't have my voice back. All the groups were so great even though many were greatly reduced in number. We had a wonderful 60's experience. This venue is always the best for being a real part of the show. GOT my orders in for lots of Cds.
What a great night! 6 wonderful memories of being young again- fast paced, high quality entertainment and I love that even the MC was a favorite of mine from back then. Blessings to them all for doing 60 shows.

We enjoyed every minute! The music was great and the smaller venue made it even better! It was fun to sing along and take ourselves back to the 1960s. All of the musical groups genuinely seemed to be having fun. We appreciated their sense of humor and energy! We will go again when the tour comes back!
Every group came out, saying the songs the way they were made famous and they all had a ton of energy. I go every year and I'll continue.
Best concert that I have ever, seen or heard in a long. The Cowsills sounded as good as they did in the 60’s. The Classic IV wonderful, sax player was amazing. Could listen to him for hours, hit all the high notes. Their voices outstanding. Vogues, saw them before in concert, but this was so much better. The background music, blended so nicely with their voices ( as all the artists did). Also matching outfits…nostalgic !! Gary Pucket was very good. His voice was a little shaky hitting high notes. But was so great to see him again. Little Anthony, he was just as wonderful as he was back in the 60’s . He had all the moves was amazing to see such energy at that age. Turtles, always loved their music, they sang all their hit songs, such a special treat to hear my all time favorite song from 1969. “Sugar Sugar” Ron was wonderful. Then for the grand finale, everyone came out. What an amazing ending, brought tears to my eyes. Made me feel like I was 16 years old and back in high school again. Thank you , Thank you so much. Will see them all again if they come back next year.

Enjoyed most of the concert, however, the back-ground music was way too loud. The band was so loud that they drowned out the singers and you could not hear what they were saying.
I was a young teenager when these groups started out. I had such a wonderful time at the concert. What memories came back to me.
Fun time. Great music. Definitely worth it. Have been to concert the last few years and it has been great every year.
Bands and Venue were great! Had good seats and big screen was an added benefit with the band videos!
What a great group of people to hear some old music. These people had high energy which was amazing for some performers at their age. All of them looked like they were having a great time as we were. Can not wait for next year.
music and performance by members was outstanding and brought back so many memories. We HAVE TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR--hopefully the tour will continue!

I got to attend Happy Together with 2 old high school and one college friend and it was TOTALLY AMAZING! Such a feel good spirit from the minute the Cowsills ran onto the stage! They set the tone and expectation for the evening perfectly! I was so sad it was over until they took us "back to the beginning!"That was such a fun way to end the concert! I'll go again!!!
