HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre--a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.
With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.
I loved Hamilton! Although not a rap fan, the songs are fantastic. The combination of the songs, dancing and staging make it an incredible experience.
The show was absolutely amazing. I could watch it again and again. Hamilton is genius and leaves you wanting more.
After shelling out $600 for two tickets, I couldn’t understand a word the actors were saying/singing/rapping. I had no idea what was going on and had to keep asking my date. Make sure to read up on the history of Hamilton before you go.
A great experience. Worth the work to get tickets. My husband and I enjoyed every minute.
Loved the music, and the cast was awesome. Humor and performance of Jefferson and the King were entertaining and amazing. The voices of Aaron Burr and Angelica were exceptional. Hamilton was great, but I feel like he could have been a bit stronger. The set never changed. The hair on Eliza was horrible... didn't fit the character at all and distracting - and the voice could have been less high pitched. It was also freezing in the theater. Take a coat!
The show was phenominal would see it again! The cast did an outstanding job, would recomend the show to everyone to see!
The show was great. I forget that the stage has a lot of obstructed views, therefore, I will make every effort to see if the presentation is going to be somewhere else. Prefer Bass Hall to Fair Park.
The music, the lyrics, the talent, the staging, the sets and costumes were impeccable! Absolutely the best stage production I have ever seen.
They capture your attention for the entire time. The music is great and the dialogue very funny. I knew I would love the show but didn’t know I would love it that much more
The show was fantastic. The ushers were great. The seats location good but another story BAD, We felt like we where on an airplane. No where to put our arms. My husband complained that the woman next to him kept touching his pant leg (by accident). Very uncomfortable. We are not wide people but tall. Knees in our throats. Back to enjoyed the show but not comfortable.
I can honestly say I DID NOT have Hamilton Fever, but rather it was part of my season tickets and everyone made such a big deal about it that I was starting to feel like there was something wrong with me. I started reading the book and listening to the soundtrack so I had some better context - plus while we do have nice seats, the sound is lacking in the rear section (Section E) at Fair Park. From the first song I found myself hooked. The touring company was amazing - several songs sounded near identical to the Original Cast Recording. There was unexpected humor, the choreography was great, and overall the show was top notch. I’ll actually try to see it again thru the lottery before it leaves Dallas because I just don’t think I caught all it had to offer in just one show.
Just saw Hamilton in Dallas and was thrilled with the show! Such incredible choreography and music!!! A definite must see if you can swing it.
The venue is lovely. The Fisher Theatre is quaint. I sat on the main floor far right and the seat was perfect. I couldn’t ask for better. The show was a surprise. It’s a musical of course but I never expected to hear their twist on rap and the cool way they integrated some 80’s music lines into the script and the current dances that flashed up here and there through the story. The saga was gripping the story made me want to pick up a book and read a bit more about the history of our early founding fathers. It was worth every penny. And i spent a lot of pennies to see this show.
Stirrring, witty and beautiful! The performers brought it in every way possible. I’d see it again!
Great. The reviews were correct. A complex character in interesting and turbulent times.
Music was amazing! We had balcony seats and we still were able to see
Me and my sister had been wanting to go since we started listening to the soundtrack on our way to school and it overthrew all of our expectations. Joseph Morales is amazing as Alexander and the whole cast is breath taking. Cannot wait to see if I can take my mom with me now 🖤
I really didn't expect it to be funny. Would love to see it again because I'm sure I missed some things because I was laughing. I would highly recommend it.
I had favorite songs before I saw the show. But, after seeing the show, I came away with so many more favorites. Very professional. King George was marvelous. The young lady who played Eliza has a beautiful voice.
Gave tixs to family as Christmas gift and would not have been able to if not for Ticketmaster Verified Fan! Hamilton did not disappoint! Excellent show would see it again and again.
