A revolutionary story of passion, unstoppable ambition, and the dawning of a new nation.
HAMILTON is the epic saga that follows the rise of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton as he fights for honor, love, and a legacy that would shape the course of a nation. Based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography and set to a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. HAMILTON features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. In addition to its 11 Tony Awards, it has won Grammy, Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

This is the 3rd time I have seen Hamilton and i have never been disappointed. The actors/actresses are amazing. Their vocals literally make you "feel"what they are feeling! IT IS POWERFUL! I would suggest if you can go to see it anywhere, that you do! You will not be disappointed. I bought the CD way back and now know every word, the lyrics and story are BRILLIANT!
The only time my daughter and I weren’t overwhelmed with joy was when we were brought to tears by Eliza. We have watched it on Disney more times than I can count and this was a dream come true for us both
We attended the show on Sunday January 28th. This was a musical we’ve seen various times on TV but we always wanted to go see it live but could never afford it. This past Christmas my son bought us tickets as a gift and I just want to say that even though we were in row R the seats were great and the musical was so AMAZING! What a great experience me and my husband had. We made it a date night. I completely loved every bit of it and would definitely love to see more musicals like this. Such talented performers and the set was out of this world! I definitely recommend seeing this musical. The theater left me with my mouth open. Confortable seating, very clean and polite ushers. Thank you for making our experience so wonderful!
It felt like I was really in the late 1800s and the lighting was ausome
It was an excellent show. The theater was beautiful. I do appreciate that they did make the musical their own. All the actors were good and the staff and ushers were all great
Hamilton was wonderful!! Definitely recommended. A terrific experience.
Haven’t been to a live show in a while. This was a fantastic show. Almost makes us want to come to the city to see another.
Great cast, great set. We all loved it! With that said, if I had to say something I did'nt like... hundreds of people trying to go to the bathroom in a 15 minute intermission. But that is the same problem venue has with large groups attending... But other than that, no complaints.
Spot on with the disney plus show. Id pay to see it again
GREAT SHOW! Loved it. Saw it multiple times this run. Our last viewing thought hey switched the lead actor at intermission- it was surprisingly distracting to have a new person there for the second part.
Have seen the show 3 tomes now and it gets better every time. Remarkable!!
Hamilton in Chicago January 15,2024 I have watched the show in Disney many times and was worried the theatwr experience with other actors would disappoint. Instead, I was blown away with the voices and dancers and how quickly the show passed by. It was a wonderfukl evening I would repeat if I could.
Loved every minute. The story, characters, rapping was legendary! One of the best shows I’ve seen
Hamilton was great but getting tickets online thru Ticketmaster was very difficult and frustrating and took much too much time!
I love Kevin Hart but he (or his body double) should not play Hamilton. I wish the director had not tanked the poor guy's career by putting him in a role that clearly does not suit him.
So first of all, the purchasing of tickies. Never the best part of the process but this was easy in general and in comparison to past Ticketmaster experiences. Obviously much less expensive than when I saw Hamilton in 2016. Show itself was 9/10. Cast was phenomenal, particularly the two female leads. Sound in the venue 8.2/10. Obviously, the show is amazing. Only issues were getting into the venue (fine but REALLY slow and crowded. To be expected with a popular event but feel it could have been a bit faster), and getting into the designated parking garage after the show. Also the seats are really tiny at the Nederlander, like close to economy airline size. But to see this cast perform this show, worth it.
Such a creative and original musical portrayal ! I was able to understand almost every word of that very fast paced rap style delivery because the actors enunciated clearly. It was a high energy performance uniquely staged and choreographed with splendid singers. I also learned a lot !
I was fortunate to see Hamilton during Covid on Disney+, which only made for stronger desire to see in person. My day finally came! Upon entering the theatre was in awe with the stage's appearance for what was to come. Following that the songs, in rap format, and dance flowed flawlessly, and I was mesmerized what was happening before my eyes. Before attending this musical, I read much re Alexander and Eliza. Although only their oldest, Philip, was in the musical, the couple had eight kids! Encourage you to read more about Alexander and Eliza! I'm already reading about Aaron Burr. Given the opportunity would attend again.
This performance was by far the best I've ever seen, and I've seen many. The cast is absolutely outstanding, and their liveliness and charisma in addition to their musical talents made the evening the most enjoyable performance of Hamilton I've seen to date! I will sincerely miss this cast, and wish they could extend their stay in Chicago. If you have a chance to catch this Tour, you should absolutely RUN to get tickets. Every character lives their part, and with beautiful voices and choreography. You truly do want to be IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS!
