Hadestown On Tour
COME SEE HOW THE WORLD COULD BE.
Welcome to Hadestown, where a song can change your fate. Winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards® including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Theater Album, this acclaimed new show by celebrated singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell and innovative director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) is a love story for today... and always.
Hadestown intertwines two mythic tales — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell's beguiling melodies and Chavkin's poetic imagination pit industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, dancers and singers, Hadestownis a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs you and never lets go.

Beautiful show the cast was outstanding I enjoyed all the music the dancing the impressive choreography for the fight scenes I really loved the band being on stage getting involved in the show. The set and costumes for gorgeous they fit the vibe and the theme of the show perfectly it is a truly unique retelling of a Greek tragedy and as someone who loves history I greatly appreciate that.
The storyline, the music, the acting - all amazing. The sound system, not so amazing. A friend sitting on the main floor about 9 rows back had no problems with the sound, we were on second tier and it was fuzzy and often difficult to understand the words. At the very close they sang another song and didn't turn the sound on at all, so we didn't hear it well at all.
The show was amazing! However, Clowes Hall needs to think about the other events happening onsite at the same time as parking was a nightmare. I watched older people with limited mobility hiking long distances to get to the show because there was no parking available. My daughter and I had to park 0.5 mile away on the street.
It was fantastic. Loved every minute of it. The cast and set were phenomenal
Hadestown was mostly great. However, I don’t know if due to the actual sound in the theater, or, rather a lack of enunciation on the part of some actors, some songs were not well heard. The actors all had great voices and the music is very enjoyable, too bad all the words weren’t understood.
The cast was superb, they didn't hit a bad note all night. The set, the energy, the musicians, it was all great!
Show takes a couple songs to get going and can be confusing even for those familiar with Orpheus & Eurydice and Hades & Persephone myths. It soon finds its energy, becomes easier to follow, and makes for an enjoyable experience. Standout performance: Lana Gordon as Persephone
I was in a trance from the moment it started to the moment it ended. I’m still singing the little song in my head. La la la la la! The cast was amazing everything just fit together like a glove and bread what I thought of in my head to life on the stage I want to see it again and again
My wife and I previously attended this play on broadway and I didn’t know how it would feel in a bigger facility…..it was excellent and the cast was as good as the broadway cast.
