Hall des Lumières is a permanent digital art center showcasing entirely new, custom-curated experiences based on the work of different world-renowned artists, starting with the debut exhibition, Gustav Klimt: Gold in Motion.
Shorter, complementary digital experiences will accompany Gustav Klimt: Gold in Motion. These will include an exhibition featuring works by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, an Austrian painter inspired by Klimt; a contemporary creation by the interdisciplinary studio Nohlab, titled 5 Movements, which will guide visitors to explore space and time through a performer's five different types of body movements; and a contemporary creation, Recording Entropia, exploring the vast possibilities of the human mind.
Hall des Lumières will be located at 49 Chambers Street, inside the elaborate former teller hall and vault level of the historic, landmarked Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank opposite Manhattan's City Hall Park. Go to halldeslumieres.com for more information.

The booklet was very helpful but the show was fair to middling.
Enjoyed every aspect of it: welcoming staff, the bigg hall itselg, the magic of the presentation and the music ! Strongly recommend !
Really enjoyed the visuals and music. Highly recommend. Wish we had not gone to the last show b/c we would would have liked to stay and watch from a different room. It feels like a different experience in the different areas.
We didn’t hit traffic getting there so we arrived early. We we’re allowed to enter early. No line to get in. Plenty of seating places. Walked around a bit to see from different perspectives. All beautiful.
I would have liked to be warned beforehand that the 12 o'clock show was the last one, because I would have liked to enjoy it one more time and I couldn't, precisely because I had to leave the room.
Words can’t discribe how incredible it is!! Congratulations to all people involved and thank’s for giving us this amazing experience. Sound, video, special effects… everything wonderful! Best immersive exhibition i’ve ever been! Please, go to Brazil!!
SmVisuals and music were so beautifully mesmerizing I didnt want to leave! Came back w friends to show them!
I have been waiting to attend this exhibit for months now, and I finally got the chance! It was crafted beautifully, not too much and not too little. It was a little pricey, but worth the money.
Very nice, a total immersion of images, colours and emotions
