Good cast. Not as great as the broadway version from a few years back, but still a good show with non-equity cast.

    Green Day had good music

    by Heather13874 on 4/30/13Cadillac Palace - Chicago

American Idiot was fun but the sound was off. Not sure why the sound was off but it was really loud and it seemed off. Other then that the music was good.

    BRILLIANT!!!!!

    by Jasonchristopher76 on 4/25/13Cadillac Palace - Chicago

If rent had a child this would be it. Not your everyday broadway experience but an eclectic and abstract, avant garde experience more like a rock ballet or live music video. I loved every minute. Alex Nee is a tremendous talent. An amazing voice and incredible stage presence.

    Did not enjoy American Idiot

by corni on 4/24/13Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Went to this play with my son and his friend. None of us enjoyed it at all. The music was way too loud. They killed the songs to the point that we almost left half way thru the show. I certainly would not recommend this play to any of my friends. I was so upset when it was over that I had paid all that money and wasted the time there when we were celebrating my son's Birthday. We could've just gone to a movie and would of had a much better time.

    A non-stop energetic rock opera!

by ChiTownPhilly on 4/24/13Cadillac Palace - Chicago

First, let me admit that I am 35 years old and still a strong Green Day fan. But even if you are a casual fan, you will love this show. Not only is the cast extremely talented (between the acrobatics required for specific sequences to the intense fist pumping/head banging in practically every song, singing every song BETTER than Green Day and playing live instruments), but the show itself has a great story and doesn't let up for the entire 1.5 hours. The story was great and intertwines tracks from both American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, with a few b-sides thrown in for good measure. All are vital to the story and the story plays out very well, with strong female characters singing some of the important parts as well (an unexpected surprise). Overall a great show with an amazing cast - I would highly recommend this to a friend!

    Green Day's American Idiot

    by Barbara1014 on 4/24/13Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The show was not a sell out so our seats were upgraded from the balcony to main level amazing seats! Little dialogue needed to drive the story, music does it on its own. Very unusual musical experience (in a positive way) which only Green Day can accomplish. Any Green Day fan would enjoy.

See the show! Or you'll be the American Idiot!

    by Laytor416 on 4/24/13Cadillac Palace - Chicago

This was my 2nd time seeing American Idiot, and again it tugged my heart in all of the right places. I would suggest that anyone in their 20s, 30s, or 40s should see this VERY relatable play! The Green Day music is of course GREAT and the storyline is phenominal. A million out of a million stars.

    Great Performance

by Nickdre on 4/24/13Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I loved it. I had no idea what to expect since the tickets were given to me by a friend. The show has great energy. The music was awesome. The performance was superb. I loved it. It gets a little racy and dark. I don't think this is a show that you want to bring kids under 15 too.

    AMAZING

    by BBW13 on 4/23/13Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The show was AMAZING!!!! It was so good, we ordered tickets and went again the next day. It ranks right up there with Wicked and Rent as one of my all time favorites.

Green Day's American Idiot is not to be missed

by OPwifeandmom on 4/23/13Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I purchased tickets to take my daughter to see this musical but I did not anticipate how truly unique and moving it would be. My daughter has not stopped talking about Green Day's American Idiot to her friends and has asked when we can go back to see it again. The most interesting part of taking my daughter to see this play: my daughter didn't really listen to Green Day (I am the Green Day fan) before seeing the play and now she is downloading the music on her phone and Kindle!
