    The Greatest Day Ever!

by Nelibelle on 7/21/19Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk - Brooklyn

This was my second time going to this event and the ampitheater had a great set up. We ended up getting into the VIP section up front due to some great staff. Bathrooms were clean too. Would like to come back to this ampitheater for another event.

    5 stars

by C. Z. on 7/17/19Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk - Brooklyn

Really awesome experience overall. The staff was great and it was really cool to have a private carnival attached to the venue.

Growing pains -- it wasn't quite ready for prime time

by Robert on 7/17/19Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk - Brooklyn

I should say at the front end that I love the idea of a mixed-genre festival, and I'm not yet willing to give up on the idea that it could work. But this one didn't. It was a pretty rigid mix of EDM and hip-hop fans, without much crossover. On the day I went to the festival, about half the crowd left after the second-to-last act. I'd recommend trying hard to find a crossover act to close out the festival -- that might help keep the crowd from emptying out before the closer. There really needed to be more food options. All that I saw was Korean food (which was delicious, by the way) and carnival food like fried Oreos. I didn't see anything else. Also, I like that there were essentially two different venues, but it made absolutely no sense that we couldn't carry a drink from one stage to another simply because we had to cross a street. The street was blocked off to the public, so the "open container in public" rationale doesn't really apply. The VIP section was wayyyyy too big. I was in it, and even I was put off by how much space it took up and what it looked like visually when it wasn't full. Not a good look. More classist looking than most other VIP sections I've seen. I'm not willing to give up on this festival as a future success. But its not there yet and has some work to do.

    Fun but unorganized

by I. on 7/17/19Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk - Brooklyn

Staff wasn’t very friendly or knowledgeable about what was going on. Multiple issues with wristbands and VIP tickets were not really worth the extra money. People who did not have VIP were still allowed the same things as those who did have VIP

    Greatness!

by A. G. on 7/16/19Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk - Brooklyn

Great show! Location and crowd was perfect, beachside breeze and not too crowded. Some performers sounds was a little low, in my opinion.. but everyone put on a great show and I had an amazing time!

    Fun local festival

by B. M. on 7/16/19Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk - Brooklyn

I went to this festival for both days last year and had an amazing time, this year I only did day one but also had a good time. I liked that the new venue was very shaded and there was a lot of space for the stage area, and if you didn't want to watch a set in the back of the amphitheater this year they had a separate dj for those who wanted to enjoy the rides and games which was really cool. Only two complaints I have is that I wish it was cashless like last year, I felt like it was just a really quick and smooth transaction if you wanted food or a drink. The other complaint was that I felt that this year's lineup wasn't so "wow-ing" and opposed to previous years didn't have as much edm acts which was a little disappointing. Overall I had a great time as it's a mixed festival, sound system was great.

    Pretty good

by Pseudonim on 7/16/19Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk - Brooklyn

Overall I believe it was a success. I believe my only qualms with the the festival was 1) The musical acts didn't have much of a cohesion to it. Crowds were swapping out in large numbers based on who was playing. I am a big fan of variety, but this felt a bit all over the place 2) The drink prices were exorbitant, with a weird policy of waiting ot get 21+ wrist bands but then needing to get your id checked again at the bar 3) Not everything took cards and there was no cashless wrist band option. Other than that, I believe it was managed and produced very well.

    Fun time

by E. K. on 7/16/19Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk - Brooklyn

Really fun festival to go to with a friend. There were crowds, but not so many we couldn't escape them, and there were places to sit and watch the music. Also, they had some cute little rides!!
