About
The Good Life are an indie rock band from Omaha, Nebraska. Taking their name from the stateâs original slogan, frontman Tim Kasher started The Good Life as a side project from his long-running emo band Cursive. Novena on a Nocturn, The Good Lifeâs first album, was released in 2000. After signing with Saddle Creek Records, Kasher and his rotating roster of bandmates released four more albums through the mid-2010s. Their third album, 2004âs Album of the Year, landed on Billboardâs Independent Albums chart while its 2007 follow-up, Help Wanted Nights, earned The Good Life their first entry on the Billboard 200. The bandâs most recent full-length is 2015âs Everybodyâs Coming Down, though in 2023, Kasher and his bandmates embarked on a tour celebrating the upcoming tenth anniversary of Album of the Year.
