Nicely, fast-paced, well-acted play. The story had a great back-story of family angst, supportive friendships and fun / petty nuances of life in the past. The play introduced the discrimination of women in society, holding them back and unable to excel in the arts and business.
The play is what an Austen fan would enjoy but you need not be one to have a great evening. The actors were first rate as were the costumes and set. I go to allot of theater and this one is a must see.
Ticket were $65; final bill $90+. Outrageously expensive; will not repeat this mistake. Play itself was fine, but cost prohibitive.

The dialogue contained wit and wisdom surprisingly similar to Austin’s. The actors seemed well-versed in the real Jane Austin’s work to credibly depict the characters. The costumes and set designs were suitably elaborate. Ending the play with a Christmas concert carol armed the parting audience with a warm Christmas glow.
Excellent production! Great storyline and theme. Beautiful love story. We enjoyed!
From the set design, to the writing, the directing and most importantly the actors performance this was all around delightful experience. A great way to enjoy the holiday season with live theater!!
