About

George Fitzgerald on Tour

Featuring expertly layered synths and percussive techno beats, George Fitzgerald is an electronic music producer and DJ from London. Following the release of his album, Stellar Drifting, Fitzgerald commenced the 2022 Stellar Drifting Tour through the United States and Canada. Fitzgerald's percussive and synth-layered music has generated ecstatic praise for his talented and experimental style. One enthusiastic fan recalled, "[He] performed a short solo of him simply scratching the decks, with no prerecorded backing, and no music over the top... it was an incredible showcase of talent that had the whole audience cheering like mad." George Fitzgerald's debut album was Fading Love (2015) which was followed by All That Must Be (2018) and Stellar Drifting (2022). He began a collaboration with fellow English DJ, Lil Silva, that the pair named OtherLiine, which released the album, OtherLiine in 2020.

George Fitzgerald Live in Concert

Originally from London, George Fitzgerald worked at Black Market Records in the mid-2000s. In 2010 he moved to Berlin working as a translator. It was there he discovered house and techno music and began making music of his own. He feels at home both in Berlin and London, which plays into the creative influences for his music. Stellar Drifting was inspired by the images captured by NASA's James Webb Telescope and the artist's love for stargazing.

His love for stargazing began while touring the Southwestern United States, where he got his first real glimpses of the heavens without serious light pollution in New Mexico. Literally converting image files of space, Fitzgerald took the image files from the James Webb Telescope and converted them into sound using Image2WaveTable software. While inspired by outer space and escapist in nature, he does not consider the album to be science fiction. To him, it is aspirational. Along with its inspiration, the vastness and ultimate endless possibilities of space are metaphors for his music. When asked about his biggest influences, Fitzgerald answered that Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins has influenced him a great deal over the years, particularly the band's 1995 album Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness. George Fitzgerald's Spotify has more than 650,000 listeners per month, with his most played track, "Burns - Edit" boasting more that 25 million streams. Other hits, "Roll Back - Single Mix" and "Full Circle" both have over 20 million listens.
