Foreigners Journey in Concert

Almost any music fan who came of age in the 1980s will cite Foreigner and Journey as bands that sound tracked their young life, bands that are forever lodged in their mind. Back then, the two acts might have been separated by an ocean, but together they helped define the "magic era" of classic rock. 

 

At one point not too long ago, they toured the world as a one-two combination, but don't count on it happening again. Luckily, you can count on Foreigners Journey, a veritable tribute-band supergroup, to deliver the unforgettable experience of seeing both bands in one knockout show. 

Foreigners Journey comprises veteran members of the music scene, guys who've made it with their own original music. But since 2014 they've also dedicated themselves to something larger, a supergroup intent on bringing the sounds, sights, and emotional thrills of two of rock ‘n' roll's greatest bands to eager fans around the Northeast and beyond.  

Featuring 2X Tony Nominated Star of Broadway’s Rock of Ages and American Idol fame, Constantine Maroulis on Lead Vocals. Keyboardist Paul Kochanski, Bassist Joe Pettengill and Drummer Art Mambuca (and his sprawling double kick-drum kit) all played together in the Journey tribute band Captured. And, rounding out the band is hotshot Guitarist Kevin Herrera.  

Their repertoire of note-for-note classics by Foreigner and Journey provide a crowd-pleasing night of unforgettable music, ready for singing along, jumping out of your seat to bounce and sway, or maybe even slow dancing (for those nostalgic for high school in the ‘80s). From power ballads like "Waiting for a Girl Like You," "I Want to Know What Love Is," and "Open Arms" to anthems like "Hot Blooded," "Don't Stop Believin'," and "Any Way You Want It," Foreigners Journey are more than a tribute band. They're a time machine, and their energy is infectious.

    Band was fantastic...sound engineer not so much

    Foreigners Journey is a collection of world class rock musicians who are also great showmen. We were thoroughly entertained. Rudy Cardenas did not disappoint, his vocals were spot-on especially his rendition of Steve Perry. His connection with the audience was outstanding. Unfortunately, the sound engineer was apparently not well rehearsed with all of the arrangements. Maybe he/she was just a replacement that night. Guitar and sax solos were always brought up in the mix a few beats late. In some songs where the sax was being played we could not hear it at all. This was especially true when the keyboardist came out front with his Keytar, we could never hear one note that he played. At least the mix of lead and backing vocals was acceptable. Sorry to throw in this negativity but this band was a fantastic tribute to two iconic rock bands and they deserved to have the best sound mix possible.

    The crowd had a great time. The band was very appreciative of the crowd, made the crowd part of the performance. They thanked us for taking a chance on booking their their show. They were very appreciative of that fact. I would highly recommend this show.

    Excellent show. The group does the work of two bands over a 2 + hour show. Rudy is a great singer and Kevin an outstanding guitarist. The other band members compliment them in their musical abilities and their vocals.

    This was a great performance and Rudy Cardenas with his team band were amazingly talented and gave us an electrifying entertainment for for a full 2 hours.Fantastic and looking to see them again whenever they return.

    I would see them again in a heartbeat ! They were so great and really had the audience pumped up. The lead singer was a true showman with an exceptional voice. Kevin, guitar player was amazing ! Don't miss a chance to see them.

    Hidden Gem

    We did not know anything about Foreigner's Journey when we purchased our tickets with a large group of friends. We figured if it was bad, we would at least have our friends! We all love music by Foreigner and Journey. We were so blown away by the band and Rudy's vocals! This is a really fun show with great music. GO if you have the chance!!
