About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

    Great performance but.......

by Chuckfu70 on 9/24/13US Cellular Coliseum - Bloomington

Great performance from the band but no original members. Mick Jones wasn't playing with the band at our show. We had a good time but I was disappointed that we were watching the worlds greatest Foreigner cover band. Kelly Hansen does a good job with the vocals and puts on a good show. I'd recommend going if you are a fan of the band but be aware that you probably won't see any of the original lineup

Foreigner and 38 Speciall were FANTASTIC!

by ILLINIGOCHIEF on 9/24/13US Cellular Coliseum - Bloomington

MC and The Fury played for 25 minutes, young lead singer/guitar was fantastic! 38 Special really rocked the house for over an hour. Very tight Band! Foreigner played with high energy for over 90 minutes. Lead Singer Kelly Hansen was making sure the crowd stayed on their feet, if not, he would find you to get up. The band was musically GREAT! It was a wonderful night weather wise and rocking inside. Thank You!

The US Cellular Coliseum was an amazing place to see a concert! The staff was so nice and the place rocked! Easy to get in and out! Foreigner was amazing as well! We had a meet- n- greet and they were so friendly. We also saw an acoustic performance. Well worth what we payed for everything!

    Foreigner definitely worth seeing

by Tomaroo on 9/24/13US Cellular Coliseum - Bloomington

Yeah only original member is the lead guitar player, and I'm a bit of a concert snob. This was a great show. All songs you know and love. Would see them again. They brought their A game.

    Foreigner/38 Special/Matthew Curry

by TaperFriendly on 9/24/13US Cellular Coliseum - Bloomington

Good show, all the bands played and sounded very good. Unfortunately with Mick out for health reasons Foreigner has become one very expensive cover band with no original members. That said, they are very tight and play a good selection of hits. Drawbacks: Kelly talks WAYYY too much. He wasted easily 10-15 minutes on worthless self-indulgent stories that really did nothing to enhance the event. Drum/Keyboard/Guitar solos for a set under 2 hours is borderline insulting especially when there is really no structure to the solos, just more self-indulgence on the part of a bunch of musicians that are really hired guns to replace the original members who wrote the music. Between the endless stories/intros and solos they wasted nearly 25% of the 105min show, and that's a show that has not changed its setlist outside of 1 song in several years! 38 Special was very good but under appreciated by the audience, Matthew Curry was well received by the hometown crowd.

    Foreigner?

0 original members means you can't call yourself Foreigner. Best Foreigner cover band I've ever seen though

    Great action!

by ChesterCheeto on 9/20/13Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

Kelly Hansen and the Boys nailed it! Kelly running in the crowd (and on top of the seats) got everyone riled up- nobody wanted to sit through the show. Music was excellent!

    No Original Members ....

by Hockeydad2112 on 9/17/13Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

Granted, Kelly Hanson is a REALLY good singer, and the band sounded good ... But, just because these guys pay Mick Jones to use the name and the banner behind the band says 'Foreigner' - DOES NOT MAKE THEM FOREIGNER. The poster and promotional materials still show Mick Jones. What's up with that ??? No one on stage had anything to do with writing or recording all the great songs that come to mind when you think of Foreigner. C'mon Mick. You can't live forever. Neither can your band. But your music will. Don't detract from that ...

what good music is all about

by 80sss on 9/15/13Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

If you want to go see an 80's band and listen to some good music FOREIGNER is the band to see. People can say "it's not the original members" but if you look around and see the whole venue into the music and having a good time is all that matters. they literally play all the hits of foreigner and you can just sit there and sing along to every song they play.

    Absolutely Great Concert

by Catmantoo on 9/15/13Levitts Pavillion - Arlington

Saw them last night and they we're fantastic. They sound better than ever and are unbelievable vocally and instrumentally. Hardly anyone sat down for their 2 hour concert and if I could give them a 6 Star rating I would. Highly recommend this concert.

Even better than we had expected!!

by Anonymous on 9/12/13Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

Foreigner was great! They performed all of their hit songs and they all sounded great! They have new band members but the songs sounded like the originals! The new lead singer sounds just like Lou Gramm and really got the crowd going! We really enjoyed when Mick Jones had guitar solos and the sax solo for Urgent was awesome! We would see them again.

Captured the audience by the third chord!

by HealingTouch on 9/10/13Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

I went to the concert in a funk from one of the worst summers in my life. Within minutes all of the burden of the summer was lifted off of me and I felt myself coming back! It was almost magical. Not only was the music fabulous but these seem to be great guys who connect in a unique way with the audience. I'm so glad I went.
