I, Pagliacci
Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale
I, Pagliacci was a great show held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. I attended on 2/10. The main protagonists voice was outstanding, symphony excellent, and the entire cast fantastic. I would not call myself well-versed in opera or classical music, but I thoroughly enjoyed the production.

you changed the ending!
Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale
La Traviata ends with the death of the heroine ... at least that's how Verdi wrote it ... but not in Fort Lauderdale ... instead of dying, she just walked off the stage, curtain down ... how dare you make such a change! ... what other changes do you make in other operas? ... this was our first opera in FtL ... likely to be our last

With a stellar cast of principals, large chorus, and 50 piece orchestra, how could this go wrong? The sets were dazzling, costumes were elegant, and all was perfection until, of course, the death scene, although even that was staged brilliantly.
