Elton John in Concert
Sir Elton Hercules John, English singer, songwriter and pianist, has been a fixture of the soft rock and pop music scene since the early 1960s and toured the globe extensively in his decades-long career. John's 2016-2018 Wonderful Crazy Night Tour has taken him throughout North America, the Middle East and Europe, as did his 2012-2013 Rocket Man 40th Anniversary Tour and 2011-2012 Greatest Hits Tour. John's musical style is marked by his flashy piano work and distinctive lead vocals. He is best known for his easy-listening rock and pop tunes, though, he is equally accomplished at creating works for films and the stage. His live shows combine his expert musicianship with flamboyant costumes and infectious energy, creating an atmosphere that enthralls audiences worldwide. Elton John's musical prowess has earned him numerous accolades. He managed to have a charting Top 40 hit every year from 1970 to 1996 and has crafted timeless melodies like "Rocket Man," "Tiny Dancer," "Crocodile Rock," and "Bennie & The Jets." He's been nominated for nearly 30 Grammy Awards, and won eight, including Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and a Hall of Fame award.
Elton John Background
Born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947, in Pinner, England, John was introduced to music at an early age. He started playing piano at age four, and won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music at age 11. After leaving the Academy in 1961, he made the decision to pursue a career in music and joined his first band, Bluesology. John met his longtime writing partner, lyricist Bernie Taupin, in the mid-1960s, and since then has collaborated with him on more than 30 albums. Classic albums like his self-titled Elton John and Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player are considered masterpieces to many a rock fan, and works like Goodbye Yellow Brick Road catapulted John to his legendary status. Though John is an icon in the field of music, his worldly influence stretches beyond songwriting and performing. In 1992, he established the Elton John AIDS Foundation, with the express purpose of supporting HIV prevention, education and care for those living with the disease.

This was an incredible show! My husband and I had floor seats, and it was amazing from beginning to end. Sir Elton performed the entire time and never missed a beat. I am so glad we were able to see him live.
His show was great. Never seen a show so anything like it before.
Elton John always puts on an excellent show. This is supposed to be the end of an era. I didn’t want to miss it. Elton John did not disappoint.

I started going to Elton John concert in 1972. He is always the consummate performer extremely giving to the audience and this is actually the first time I’ve seen him in an open air venue. I took my son and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Elton is one of the few performers that you can actually say sounds as good or better live than his albums.
One of the best concerts and performances I gave been too. Elton John is an amazing singer and gracious performer. His talent and songs will forever be in our hearts and in the history books. Thanks for the memories EJ!
I’m so glad and honored I got to see Elton at his farewell tour. I’m fairly young so I missed out on seeing a lot of the greats perform because of my age. He kept on going for so long that I was blessed to be able to see him perform. Perform he did. I will cherish this moment for the rest of my life.
Wow! Just huge Wow!! In Bernie's words "The Bitch is Back" ... stone, cold sober as a matter of fact! I was fortunate enough to see Elton in college when I was 18 and a couple of times through the years and then catch his last American show at age 60 at Dodger Stadium on November 20th, 2022...WOW! We might be a bit older and a bit slower but we can still Rock!! Thank you Elton and Bernie for all the songs and memories...pure genius and absolutely timeless! An amazing concert and performance by Elton John. I've never seen him in concert, so to see him for the first time and last time, as absolutely amazing. He really knows how to put on a show and make spectacular. I was truly honored and glad to see him, he is a true performing artist and will be missed, but his music will remain. Enjoy your retirement Elton you have earned it.

The Elton John concert was amazing! I have been a fan for many years and have seen his concerts as often as I could. This last show in Los Angeles was the best ever. Elton John played for 3 hours. Every song is a favorite. His voice sounds great, and his piano playing is better than ever... I am sad to never be seeing him in concert again, but he deserves a life with his family after dedicating his life to his fans for so long!!!
What a great concert. I’m so glad I went to his final US tour. If you’re in another country where he is still touring. Don’t miss him.
This was a show I had been looking forward to for so long. I tried to see Elton in Vegas, but it was sold out when I was there. I tried to buy tickets for the first show in town. Again sold out. Then a second show was added, and I scored a pair of seats. As it was an opportunity of a lifetime, I got floor seats. What an experience! The sound was massive but clear. The energy from the crowd only made Elton's energy more vibrant. A true performer. So happy I finally got to see and sing along with Elton for almost three hours.

I grew up listening to Elton John so I had to grab the opportunity to see him on this tour. Saw him in Nashville and it was amazing! He mentioned he was a little under the weather and he still managed to put on a great show! Nissan stadium was great, easy in and easy out, highly recommend!
It was amazing! He sounded awesome and never kissed a beat. So thankful I spent the money to go. Well worth it and if you can find a ticket GO!
Elton’s concert was unlike any concert I’ve ever been to before. The man is truly a living legend!!! His band was incredible along with the sound, the venue and the ease of the ticketing process.
