The cast, pit, and crew collaborated incredibly for this production. From the opening song to the closing, the effortless talent and gripping storyline fully immersed us in Celie’s world. Drury Lane always showcases amazing productions!

Great singing and the story line stayed true to the book.

Upon entering the theatre for the first time we did not experience any crowds, long lines or confusion. It is well lighted and has a large area for individuals to be comfortable prior to entering the seating area. All in all it was an enjoyable evening and the show was outstanding.

This play was fantastic, My daughter and I truly enjoyed every moment. It was a well organizes play, and the story was great. The cast was phenomenal. I usually go the Goodman Theatre, but I will check to see upcoming plays at Drury Lane.

A wonderful evening to say the least. Everything from getting the tickets, dinner, the professionalism of the actors and actresses, EVERYTHING was just awesome! I’d recommend for couples night out, girls night out, or family time.

The performers were absolutely outstanding in this musical/play. The acting and dancing were superb! You connected with the actors/actresses. The story makes us remember what was and probably does go on. I recommend this to anyone who loves theater, dancing, and open to all kinds of stories.

The Color Purple was a great show with talented performers. It is a must see. Every seat in the theater gives you a great view. Temperature and atmosphere was very pleasant.
