Or is it the trio onstage, serving up a delicious cocktail of jazz and pop blended with '70s and '80s R&B funk? It's a toss-up, as the Swedish collective ensures their live performances are joyous and unforgettable experiences for everyone. Stellar musicianship takes center stage at the band's shows, which feature drummer Aron Mellergardh's powerhouse percussion skills alongside bassist Henrik Linder's slick bass lines. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Bassist Henrik Linder, drummer Aron Mellergardh, and vocalist/keyboardist Jonah Nilsson formed Dirty Loops in 2008 while attending the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden. The trio's big break came when their version of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" racked up a whopping 100,000 views on YouTube in just two months. They followed it up with creative covers of pop songs by Justin Bieber, Adele, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake. The viral videos caught the attention of Swedish producer/songwriter Andreas Carlsson, who promptly signed them to a management deal. Producer/songwriter David Foster then signed the group to Universal Music subsidiary Verve Records and brought them on his 2012 Asian tour. The band released their debut album Loopified in 2014, which boasts two covers and 10 original tracks including standout single "Hit Me". Their 2014-2015 Loopified tour is taking them through Europe, the U.S., and Asia, delivering their energetic shows to crowds all over the world.
