love the guy but the performance was a bummer

    by ki on 1/28/24

went to the reset concert just for him and he only played for 40 minutes. i get that’s not up to him, but i also wish he played more upbeat and well known songs. don’t get me wrong, he’s a genius and cool dude and i love all of his music, but it felt like the time could’ve been used more wisely.

    simply one of the best

    by lilwosa on 8/5/23

my all time favorite artist. i was fortunate enough to find Dijons music back in 2019, and what little he had out at the time has been on repeat since his albums have dropped. i finally got the opportunity to see him in ATL at a festival and i don’t regret it one bit. his voice, expression, everything was so majestic, real and raw. it was clear to everyone around me that he was the artist i came for, as i was fangirling and holding up a heart. but what meant the world was that he put a heart back up at me!! it almost sounds too good to be true. i will never forget that, what a surreal moment. plus his merch was dope too :P I will continue wait patiently for a new album and new tour! <3 - Rose

    THIS MAN. THIS BEAUTIFUL MAN.

by Coop on 6/7/22The Wiltern - Los Angeles

Dijon is one of the most visceral, unapologetically beautiful artists working right now. He doesn’t put on a show, he puts on an experience. So grateful to have been a part of it. The Wiltern is also a FIRE venue.

Huge Dijon Fan - Live Performance was disappointing

by bstampley on 6/7/22The Wiltern - Los Angeles

Let me start off by say that i think Dijon is a genius and Absolutely is a modern day MASTERPIECE. I believe the album will go down as one of the greatest of this era. The whole project, including the YouTube short film in the apartment set was amazing and so raw and real. I came into the live show with high expectations and excitement. I have been playing the album on repeat for the last 3 months. The show started great, high energy at the right times, slow and somber energy when appropriate. However, mid way thru the set, i feel he lost me, and many of the other attendees. The song selection was all rather slow and morose. The long wailing guitar riffs and audio distortions dragged on and on. I started to question whether what i was listening to was even considered music or just noise. I sat in my seat and looked around at the crowd. Many people had fallen asleep and other looked bored. There were looks of confusion and a sense of "get on with it already" was in the air. We play 2 songs at the end that everyone knew the words to, but the songs seemed rushed and play out of obligation. We left at the last song, and when we heard he went on for an encore, we decided to leave anyway. At the end of the day, it was good to see this artist and his talented band live. Nothing beats live music. I just feel with all the buzz this artist has generated and the fan base that has grown like a wildfire, he could have come with more energy and more showmanship. I will still pay the album on repeat, and still recommend this artist to anyone who cares to listen. But if he comes into town again, i will be hesitant in buying the overpriced tickets.

    Please come back

    by E. M. on 4/11/22

I drove out to Atlanta to see you open for Bon Iver. I arrived late, and missed half your set. It cut me deep, but what I got to see of your performance changed me in a big way. Your music has been getting me through this year. I wish I would've found your albums sooner. I hope I can still afford your single shows when they come back near Alabama, or I'll have to catch a flight before you get too big. I won't miss any songs next time. Thank you. Take care. -ish
