About

Diana Reyes has taken the contemporary Latin music world by storm as a show-stopping performer of Duranguense, a genre that has been virtually dominated by Mexican male singers. In concert, fans are treated to an exciting, eclectic mix of mariachi instruments and synthesizers, melded together in a traditional musical sound that's infused with pulsating, modern rhythms. Added to this, Reyes' sizzling hot vocals give the music a contemporary vibe all its own. In late 2013, Reyes went on a promotional tour throughout the U.S., performing a mix of fan favorites. Her latest album 10 Grandes Exitos is a compilation of the best of her work, and serves as an introduction to the Duranguense style. With its energetic, appealing music and gusty, smoky vocals, this latest album gives new audiences a glimpse into why ticket holders around the world agree that Reyes is one of the most exciting new artists in the Latin genre today.

Reyes began her performing career at the age of six; by eight, she had cut her first hit Mexican singles “Barrios y Escuela” and “Cristo Rey.” Around this time, Reyes came under the guidance of legendary Mexican ranchera singer Lola Beltrán; her influence can be heard in Reyes’ traditional style of vocalization. Since then, Reyes has had several hit records, including "La Reina del Pasito Duranguense" (which sold hundreds of thousands of copies) and "Te Voy a Mostrar." Singles such as “Rosas” have helped her to gain mainstream popularity in the U.S., where she has dominated Billboard’s Latin charts. In 2012, Reyes released 10 Grandes Exitos, which offers a compilation of some of her best work. Wherever she goes, Reyes not only gains a wealth of new fans — not only for her own work as a singer, but also for the exciting, vibrant genre of Duranguense.
