DeRay Davis is quickly killing Hollywood with his hilarious humor and persona. His film credits include Old Dogs, Life as We Know It, Imagine That, School for Scoundrels, Scary Movie 4, Barbershop 1&2 and Johnson Family Vacation.
On the small screen, DeRay has appeared in HBO's "Entourage", Comedy Central's "Reno 911", Comedy Central Presents DeRay Davis, and BET's "ComicView" along with numerous voices on The Boondocks.
DeRay can be seen in the Sony feature 21 Jump Street, and his hour comedy special POWER PLAY debuted last year on Showtime.
On the recording side, DeRay wrote and performed the comedy skits on two Kanye West LPs, and he performed at the 2006 Grammy Awards with Kanye West and Jamie Foxx.
A born hustler from Chicago’s South Side, DeRay was first noticed by Hollywood at Atlanta’s Laffapalooza Festival. DeRay won the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition and was a standout on the Cedric the Entertainer Tour and at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.
The headliners were better than Michael Blackson. They were relevant and funny.....organically. The show was something to attend. My date and I left before midnight to avoid the crowd. I would suggest that if hosting another NYE/ NYD comedy show plan the Ball Drop 1/2 way thru the show with a 15 min intermission and finish up.
The event was much shorter than expected. They even ended the event 1 hour before countdown. In which was a big part of us paying for tickets to be there that day, aside of seeing the comedians. I enjoyed the stand up commentary, although not all the comedians went on stage that night. I was even disappointed they switched the performance of Lil John for Saturday instead of for Sunday New Years Eve. We paid a bit too much money to come out with a short experience. However, I hope they'll come back again, reorganize the schedule and extend for the actual countdown.
Show ends 45 mins before countdown, when it was advertised as New Year’s Eve comedy show countdown….. Count down never happened
This was my second DeRay show on NYE. This time I experienced it with a new love interest. We both have a sense of humor and was cracking up. Deray is extremely funny abs had us laughing nonstop. The 3 guys were very funny as they had their own style of telling jokes. The girl was just ok for the both of us. Her jokes were funny towards the end of her set. I wouldn't write her off though. Even bringing on the male artist to close was nice. Overall, I would definitely attend his show again. Thanks, DeRay for bringing laughter to the hearts of thousands.
Show was just ok. Lil John put on a great performance. M. Blackson was just ok but other up and coming comedians were better than him. It was just ok but definitely wouldn’t buy tickets again.
It was ok, he had done funnier shows. Love me some Deray though!
I enjoyed every minute of the show it was hilarious nonstop funny I was in tears by the end of the show and then lil John had everybody out of there seats turned all the way up
Overall it was a good experience seat wise, I wish the side balcony seats were open because the seats were too small and I don’t like being around people constantly getting up. PLEASE OPEN UP THE SIDE BALCONY SEATS FOR BETTER EXPERIENCE!!!
The show was awesome we will definitely be back for the next one! They had a lot of funny comedians and Lil John definitely started the party right!

The show was amazing and well organized and most importantly, hilarious! Each opening act was funny and came with new material! The DJ for the show was on point playing early 2000s to Current.
I enjoyed the show I wish the comedians had more time other than 20 minutes. I also wish they started on time. Other than those two areas I have no complaints every comedian was hilarious.
I been to a lot of de ray I love that he throw them every year but damn he need more comedy n did all the way to the countdown it want to fast but everybody was funny. They said that the show last at least 12 o’clock.
From start to finish, it was a non-stop laugh fest. From the host starting the show to Deray closing it out, it was nothing but jokes and even jabs at the audience. The only grip was that someone in the audience kept having Deray stop his bit about seven times to tell him to stop recording, even with jokes, and it sounded like it was the same person repeatedly. Besides that, the show was funny all around, and if they return, we'll go again.
They were late coming on stage. It was a lot of fun and definitely I great experience I was just about done with my drink and popcorn by the time they came on.
Mojo Brooks was so funny and DeRay came out and killed it.
