Great show! I enjoyed the old school rappers and felt the energy from the stage to the audience. Had a great time.

    Good concert overall

by BSC76 on 7/24/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

While the concert was pretty good, I don't understand why the DJ comes out for over 90 minutes and each act gets only 20 minutes. Most annoying thing was the guy who was trying to rush the acts off the stage... I was not aware B.B. Kings has a curfew at 11:00 p.m. Back to the topic, it was great to get a blast from the past. They all put on a good show and would definitely go again.

    Best show EVER!

by Ashell on 7/23/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Black Sheep was a hot opening act, then Special Ed followed with a blazing set but Kurtis Blow set the whole building on fire performing his hits complete with an amazing break dancing crew! Coming on after Kurtis Blow was not easy, but Nice & Smooth is probably the one group in all of hip hop that can take that challenge and turn it into a win, as they maintained the same high energy level and kept the crowd hyped up. Das EFX closed the show out with a solid set and everyone went home happy.

Show was mind blowing. Old school knows how to rock a house. Every one of them was funny and brought their own unique style to the show.

    Hip Hop Ya Don't Stop!

by LASUNSHYNE on 7/23/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

The whole show was bananas from start to finish. Special Ed performed with the same skill/flow/style as he did in 1989. You still believe that he "Got it Made." Dres from Black Sheep held his own without his original partner and nobody missed him. The energy was insane for the whole set. Big up to Dres and Jarobi from TCQ for creating new hip hop music via Ever-Tan. Greg Nice and Smooth Bee gave us all kinds of reasons to behave like hip hop junkies. Shout out to Teddy Ted representing the Awesome 2 during their set. Those two styles blend like lemon/lime and it's clear to see why they are legends. Kurtis Blow shut the whole stage down as he and his break dancers reminded everyone that B-Boys really do rock. Shout out to Speedy from NYC Breakers who did his thing. Kurtis was the first to score a major label deal and it's hard to imagine now but he was a superstar! Finally, what can I say about Das Efx? Skilled out lyricists and performers. The show was well put together and we appreciated that everything was on time and ran smoothly.
