    It worth the price

by Blahhh on 10/24/19Riverside Municipal Auditorium - Riverside

It was all over the place, there was no decorations didn’t get a Halloween horror vibe nor comic con feel at all. Monsterpallooza in Pasadena is cheaper and so much more worth it. Pretty much 40 bucks buy food, beer and walk around see a few horror things and leave. Which is mostly every weekend down town riverside for free

    O.K for 1st time out

by Arctic Bill on 10/23/19Riverside Municipal Auditorium - Riverside

I met plenty of friendly people. Some very unique costumes and booths. My biggest problem was with the badges. I purchased my ticket ahead of time over the internet hoping to alleviate potential problems. Then, when I reach the front entrance I am told I have to walk 2 blocks away to get my badge. It didn't make since to me that the badges and entrance were not in the same place. Also, there could have been a little more assistance with parking. I parked in an open multi level structure a couple of blocks away with no attendant and then worried about whether my car might get towed while I was at the convention.

    Disappointment to say the least

by J. on 10/23/19Riverside Municipal Auditorium - Riverside

My friend and I purchased weekend passes. Friday's event time was unclear. On the pamphlet it said 6pm and online it said 8pm so that was our first initial confusion. Upon arriving to the event on Saturday (we didn't go Friday and quite frankly we regret buying the whole weekend pass), the layout felt very disorganized. The vendors were all in random places and we wandered around multiple times to try and make sure we found all the vendors. We were able to do everything in about two hours. We decided to save some of our purchases for the last day, Sunday. So we arrive Sunday to find more than half of the vendors missing and a lot of the others began packing up early. We missed out on items we planned on buying that day. Other vendors told us the shops that left stated it was because not enough people came on Saturday. So we paid for a weekend pass to not even get our money's worth because the vendors pulled out. And I get it, they need to make a profit, but it takes away from the guests. Also, apparently Sunday tickets suddenly dropped to 5$? As someone who bought the whole weekend pass, I did not get my money's worth whatsoever. This was Darkside's first event. Hopefully it's better next year, but I don't plan on returning.

Good time but room for improvement

by J. on 10/23/19Riverside Municipal Auditorium - Riverside

Vendors- great Venue- excellent Food options- wonderful Price- weekend pass fair, day passes for Friday & Sunday too pricey for what’s being offered. Blood Drive- fantastic Security- perfection Cosplayers- awesome Panels- good but room to improve, AV issues, some lacked enthusiasm Fitz & Tantrums- so good, but too short, It wasn’t clear that haunted walk was not included in ticket price. Vampira screening: worst doc I’ve ever seen. That space could have been used for a better screening, Vampira should have been shown at the library. Dragula??? It was a car not DRAGULA, the Horror Drag franchise. We were disappointed that LGBTQ horror wasn’t well repped. Spooky church not labeled on map. Overall, we had a fun time, we want this event to continue!!!!...just with a little more quality. It was a delight to have a Con in Riverside and even better that it was a Horror Con. We want to see it become a well advertised, well organized, well attended event.

    It was okay

    by j. m. on 10/23/19Riverside Municipal Auditorium - Riverside

Seemed a little uncoordinated, we were all over the place and they charged for every little thing, no signs or directions anywhere, even the celebrities we met were confused on how things were being done. I love horror so i would go again but jeez at least keep the convention in one place next time.

    Entertaining

I found the place to be enjoyable. There were many people who attended, and everyone seemed like they were having a good time.

    Disappointing

by CheckMeowT on 10/21/19Riverside Municipal Auditorium - Riverside

We were really excited about this event. We actually went all 3 days. The Friday night movie sounds was so bad we had to leave. The paranormal event wasnt available even though it was advertised as part of the Friday pass. So it was a waste. Came back Saturday and only like 20 people came to the first show. Couldn't find Spooky Church. Staff didn't even know. Asked 3 people. Not on the map. Not on the website. Went home. Sunday was better but overall this was poorly organized. They need a volunteer coordinator and more descriptions on the calendar.
