Counting Crows were awesome as usual. Adam Duritz was very personable and took a lot of time to talk to the audience. He shared stories of how the songs came about which he worked into the songs, it was amazing and seamless. I can't wait until the next concert! Live was also great. So much energy, and I enjoyed watching the two drummers getting into it. I would see them again!
The band played great, they didn’t miss a beat ! Adam would give a story about each song before it was played explaining the songs origin and how it came to be . Really enjoyed the show !
I went to see this show the week before and the acoustics at Hard Rock were 100 times better. The seating is a bit confusing- you have to look up on the ceiling to see the section numbers- but no signs or staff tell you that. Overpriced food and beverages, but that is at any concert venue. As for the LIVE and Counting Crows show- LIVE is amazing. So happy to have them back together- and their sound is as if it was 1998 all over again. Really amazing and soulful! Counting Crows was also really good- but I was there for LIVE so I only lasted the first 8 songs- which took forever. Overall great show.
It was my first time seeing Live! Ive been going to concerts for 50 yrs now I would would but Live as one of the top ten groups I have ever seen! You can tell they have been playing 40 years together. They had 3 guitarist and 2 drummers! 6 members and 4 were original! I would love to see them again. They weren't too load and you could hear the lead singer perfectly. PERFECT rock and roll band. Than the horrible part of the show- Counting Crows. Can you get me anymore depressed? I go to a concert to have fun, sing and dance NOT to hear your love problems and how depressed you are. I really dont understand how the two bands can tour together! Highly disappointed left the show early. Counting Crows should have started the show, we would have left in a better mood!
Live had a nice blend of hit songs along with some new or lesser known songs. It felt like people really wanted to see Counting Crows and hear the hits. How about 1 hit song in the first five? No. We had to wait until near midnight after sitting at 8:00 PM to start hearing songs that were considered hits. I like that Adam D gave some back story to writing the songs, but it went on a little too long. Especially, after sitting for several hours. You can tell the entire audience was waiting for a song they knew. They were all standing. Slowly everybody sat down in silence. Then later people just started to leave. Overall, they both sounded good and I enjoyed the concert. Just don't drag it out.
My husband and I absolutely loved Live's set! I wish it was an entire night of just them. I've seen Counting Crows in the past and wished it was as good as I experienced before. I was not impressed with his commentary before each song and left after they had only been on for a half hour. In my opinion Live should have gone last. The Counting Crows were just a buzz kill after watching Live kill it.
Live was amazing! Counting Crows however was underwhelming, music was good but he talked to much. Less talk more music.
So happy Live reunited and I got a chance to see the band perform together again. Covered many of the songs I wanted to hear including "I Alone," "Selling the Drama," "All Over You," "The Dolphin's Cry," "Turn My Head," and of course "Lighting Crashes."
Live was simply amazing!!! One of the best shows and venues in a long time!
lWhat a Fantastic performance from Eddie Kowalczyk and LIVE. From start to finish. Counting Crows have a great band and music but Adam Duritz inconsistency on Vocals and Storytelling is painful like dentistry. See Live any chance you get. Met Eddie in the Casino and he was a true Gentleman. Graciously accepted my big hug and took photos with my wife and I.A Mensch.
