    Performance was great, except....

by SanAntonioHome on 12/14/23Lila Cockrell Theatre - San Antonio

The performance was entertaining for the kids, however we had a single issue with the fact that couple of photographers hired for the event (not sure who hired them), kept blocking the view of the stage in key moments. Our kid missed those moments. One of the families complained to the usher that this was occurring and the usher asked the photographer to try and not stand in the way for minutes at a time. The photographer agreed and was more respectful for a few minutes and later continued the original behavior. Not sure who hired these photographers but it was very distracting and they blocked our view of the stage many many times. They should not hire them to stand on the isles for the duration of the presentation to take photos. Thank You

    Spectacular performance!

by Ray S. on 12/12/23Lila Cockrell Theatre - San Antonio

This year was our families first year attending this event. There’s not enough words I could put in this review to describe how amazing the performance was, and how, in aww we were with everything involved in this production, I strongly recommend for any parents considering taking their children, this is a must see!! Hats off to all the cast, directors, and stage hands 🙌

    Every Year It Gets Better!

by Melissa Neeley on 12/11/23Lila Cockrell Theatre - San Antonio

I’ve been to CBSA’s Nutcracker for several years. My great niece dances with CBSA. Every year their Nutcracker gets better. The dancers are great and there are roles for so many kids. I enjoy going ever year!

    Extremely impressed

by Happy Audience Member on 10/21/23

I marvel at the amount of energy it must take to have such an inclusive performance. Dancers of all ages and abilities were featured in such a rich display of community and culture. I was blown away!

Perfect for kids and not bad for the adults

by Paco on 12/13/22Lila Cockrell Theatre - San Antonio

Took our three granddaughters to their first Ballet and Nutcracker performance. My joy was at watching their faces with expressions of pure joy. The performance itself was great and all the dancers were wonderful to watch. There was a great inclusive feeling to the performance, and without saying more, it was a perfect evening for us all.

    CBSA Production was fabulous

by TMay on 12/13/22Lila Cockrell Theatre - San Antonio

Such a well produced show case of children developing their talent. So inclusive of variable physical abilities. I love the inclusion of ALL children that want to be part of this special event. Watching the progression of our grand niece into a real ballerina just warms our hearts.

Disappointed in the many accessory roles were non dancing.

by Charlene on 12/12/22Lila Cockrell Theatre - San Antonio

The angels in particular just walked in circles and never danced. They appeared on stage for the briefest time than any other group on stage. The small bees had a much larger role. It was so disappointing that we paid $300 total for tickets for our family to see my granddaughter's performance to walk in circles. Would have rather seen her in her own dance company for their performance on the same night. Total disappointment in whoever was in charge of the choreography and the roles that were assigned. My granddaughter has been dancing since 4 and is now 10 and a decent dancer. How was she chosen to not have one dance move. Signed, Frustrated Grandmother
