    Great day but changes...

by PBryant on 5/31/23Colonial Country Club - Fort Worth

As always, our day was enjoyed and the golf was gret but they had made some changes. In areas where we could get close to the players, more special seating was put in play. It made it appear that the money was more important than the spectators enjoying the event. Pay more, and you will get to see more. If that is the case, it would be more enjoyable to sit at home and watch the game to see it all close up.

    Memorable

by Jules on 5/31/23Colonial Country Club - Fort Worth

Love going to this golf tournament each year. It’s always a memorable event. This year it was made so memorable due to the Apache helicopter fly over! Wow!

    Not Good

by Todd on 5/31/23Colonial Country Club - Fort Worth

I have been to the tournament many times and this was one of the worst experiences. They took away all the food pavilions so there was no where on the course to set down and eat. They had some concession stands that had sub par food that was not edible and food trucks.. Then you had to set on the ground or hold it to eat. Not to mention I have parked in the same place for the last several years and the City of Fort Worth decided to start ticketing everyone this year. Nice Cherry on top, will not go back!

    ProAm Day

by Vix on 5/27/23Colonial Country Club - Fort Worth

Great day walking around watching pros with amateur players. Some pros were more personable than others but it boiled down to golfing not social hour:(. Food and drinks were ok. Crowds are light. Parking was nonexistent.we parked in the dirt very far for 20.00. No shuttle’s available. All staff/volunteers were super friendly and helpful.

Enjoy the Tournament but Becoming More Exclusive & Expensive

by Aggie_80 on 6/1/22Colonial Country Club - Fort Worth

I really enjoy attending the Colonial golf tournament and have been going since 1982. However the cost to attend is getting prohibitive (as have all other professional sports) and I may not attend in the future. Also have observed the tournament caters to more exclusive spectators and less to the general public. For example they have limited the public seating to only 2 holes with the majority of the seating reserved for the most expensive tickets or private boxes.

    Beautiful event

by Billy on 6/1/22Colonial Country Club - Fort Worth

Pleasant and VERY helpful volunteers. Complimentary sunscreen, great food, beautiful golf course, easy to get “up close.” I got an automatic discount on ticket, parking, and food with my Citi card. Easy to buy last minute ticket on Ticketmaster. Everyone should attend the Colonial at least once. Classy!

    Charles Schwab

by Ol' Peaches on 6/1/22Colonial Country Club - Fort Worth

Good day, very organized. I would give it a 5 but the concession stands ran out of items and selections were limited.

    End of an era.

by R. H. on 5/31/22Colonial Country Club - Fort Worth

Not the same Colonial…cost prohibitive for most people, smaller crowds and kind of boring. Even the 13th Hole was dead, like a corporate Christmas party that everyone’s boss made them attend. Low energy, not very fun. Colonial use to be a minor tournament that was always the biggest party in North Texas…now it’s just a minor tournament. I have a feeling I’m witnessing the last days of this storied and historic tournament.

Golf Tournament Abandons General Ticket Holders

by Disappointed Seasoned Colonial Fan on 5/30/22Colonial Country Club - Fort Worth

The annual Colonial CC golf tournament has totally converted to pleasing sponsors only! The tournament has converted to totally surrounding greens with corporate sponsored bleachers leaving the general ticket holders with minimal standing only viewing. Combine this change with the annual 90+ degree heat leaves patterns more than exhausted! In addition, they now will not allow general ticket holders to exit the tournament (if you take a well needed break from the heat and lack of quality food, you can not return to the tournament!!!). Basically you are trapped with standing room only, porta potties, and over charged junk food in 90 plus degree heat. With these changes to the golf tournament, this will be my last visit to the Colonial.
