BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Virginia-born Canaan Smith moved to Nashville in 2009 to pursue his dreams of becoming a country star. His first taste of success came that same year when he co-wrote Love and Theft's "Runaway", a Top 10 country hit that established him as a songwriting force to be reckoned with. A few years later Smith scored a hit of his own when his debut single "We Got Us" appeared on the country charts and earned praise from critics at Country Weekly magazine and the website Roughstock. The song's popularity landed him on tour with big names like Dierks Bentley and Florida Georgia Line, and in 2014 Smith's rise continued with sophomore single "Love You Like That". The track was another critical success, reaching No. 32 on the country chart and building excitement for his full-length studio debut. With that album on the horizon and a tour with Dan + Shay slated for 2015, Smith has fans eagerly awaiting the chance to catch him on one of his upcoming tour dates.

His stage presence, vocals, guitar, passion and overall experience is something you don't find in most acts today. Canaan performs like he's having the time of his life and is so thankful to those that support him, it's simply a must see act. I will not miss an opportunity to see Canaan Smith live, period.

I can't wait to see him blossom into a headliner, I know he will put on a mesmerizing show when he has access to all the pyros,screens and lights.

I loved the hype that he had, and he put on an amazing show, and afterwards when we met him he was extremely nice, not rude whatsoever. Awesome experience.

I was in the front row of this general admission venue, so close I could literally touch him, but I refrained... He put on one hell of a show! One of the best shows I've seen live. I love the smaller more intimate venues. Can't wait to see him again with Brantley Gilbert on the Black Out Tour in Feb.
