He didn't name it and doesn't refer to it as such, but folk-rock legend Bob Dylan has been on what's become known as his Never Ending Tour since 1988. The longest the Minnesota native has gone without playing a concert since then was a three-month break he took in 1997 to recover from what could have been a fatal chest infection.
Dylan has played more than 2,500 gigs during this incredible run, and despite a catalog that dates back more than a half century, the shows aren't greatest-hits rehashes. The iconoclastic singer-songwriter tends to focus on whatever his latest musical project happens to be, and he often reworks his well-known songs significantly. Dylan's current backing band -- all of whom played on his 2012 studio album, Tempest -- has a bit of a country vibe, and usually features guitarists Stu Kimball and Charlie Sexton along with Tony Garnier (bass), drummer George Receli (drums), and Donnie Herron (pedal steel, lap steel, banjo, mandolin, violin, viola).
Dylan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988, and he would have landed there based on his work in the 1960s alone, when he wrote and recorded some of the most enduring and groundbreaking material in musical history. Though his '60s songbook includes classics like "Blowin' in the Wind," "Subterranean Homesick Blues," "Like a Rolling Stone," and "I Want You," he hasn't stopped writing and recording critically acclaimed material, and is constantly mining his archives to release previously unreleased material.

I have listened to him for close to 60 years and we really looking forward to the show and we were really disappointed.
The lighting and sound were excellent. We loved this concert!
It was a great concert hearing Bob Dylan's voice live but I really wished he would have played at least one or two of his top hits from back in the day.
To start with, per the artist request, we were required to put our cell phones away in a locked pocket and could not use any cell phones until after the concert. Then we had to wait in line in order to get our cell phones unlocked so that we could leave the concert. Not a great way to start the fun at a concert. Then, Bob Dylan played mainly blues, music, and none of his hits through the years. I was looking forward to hearing a variety of things that he played through the years, but that was not to be the case. He seem to play a lot from his latest published album. When Bob Dylan finished the concert, there was no real warning, and the curtain closed right after he finished his last song. Very abrupt ending! The entire experience left a lot to be desired!
Bob Dylan has so many hit songs, but not one was played at this concert. I believe his fans deserve one or two hit songs for their money.
For an honest opinion. I thought the mix was terrible. Could not hear the vocals. The bad was tight but tooo load compared to the vocals. At first I thought it was just me but first my wife asked if I could hear Bob then our neighbors on both sides asked.
Bob Dylan has an iconic body of music that I have listened to all my life. In two hours he did not play one song I ever heard. I was in a row with many fans who felt exactly the same.
I hesitate to even write this, but I feel I must. This show was almost comically bad. The sound was awful, Dylan hid behind a piano. We made it 30 minutes and left. I’m a big Dylan fan and this was just disappointing. I know we weren’t the only ones to leave. Wish I had read reviews before.
I was nervous about how Bob would sound and it was a sweet surprise to hear his voice beautiful and clear. I listened to the tour set list ahead of time which I strongly recommend so people can familiarize themselves with the songs he plays. Don’t go expecting his hits but if you stay open to his creativity you will be delighted by blusey/Tom waits style songs that showcase a true master at his simple, heartfelt craft.
